A RESOLUTION naming the cafeteria located in the Capital Annex the "Heleringer Cafe" in honor of the former Gentleman from Jefferson 33, the Honorable Bob Heleringer.
WHEREAS, this beloved public servant has displayed great honor and integrity during his years in the Kentucky House of Representatives and, as a result, has earned the utmost esteem and gratitude of each member of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, Representative Bob Heleringer, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, has served his constituents in the House of Representatives with passion, honor, and integrity; and
WHEREAS, as a public servant, he has championed the causes of the mentally ill, disabled, and disadvantaged; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Bob Heleringer has always fought for a more open and efficient government for the people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, he is a graduate of Xavier University and the University of Louisville with over 25 years as an accomplished attorney; and
WHEREAS, he has amassed an extensive record of community and public service and used his talents to help organizations such as the Concerned Families of Hazelwood ICF/MR Center, the Legal Committee of Voice of the Retarded, and the AIDS/HIV Legal Project; and
WHEREAS, early in his illustrious career in Kentucky State Government, he served as a Senate Republican Administrative Assistant and the Chair of the House Republican Campaign Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Bob Heleringer was held in great esteem by his fellow members in the General Assembly, having established activities such as the Annual Heleringer Golf Classic, and serving as chair of the House Roast Committee to promote camaraderie among the members of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, he is the loving husband of Cindy and the proud father of Sarah, Ann, Tommy, and Philip;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The members of this honorable body commend the outstanding contribution to public service made by the Honorable Bob Heleringer after an impressive 23 year tenure in the Kentucky House of Representatives.
Section 2. On this day, the members of the House of Representatives pay tribute to a beloved public servant, the Honorable Bob Heleringer, by naming the cafeteria located in the Capital Annex the "Heleringer Cafe" in his honor.
Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Honorable Bob Heleringer, 14209 Glendower Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40245.
