SCHEME OF RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
Post and Salary Code : Chief Medical Officer - University of Ruhuna
Salary Scale :
Qualifications:
A Medical Degree of a recognized University with prescribed postgraduate qualifications and at least 12 years experience as a medical practitioner.
BENEFITS:
The selected candidate will be a member of the Universities Provident Fund as well as of the University Pension Scheme. He / She will contribute 10% of his / her monthly salary to the Universities Provident Fund and at the same time the employer will make a total contribution of 15% of his/her salary of which 8% will be credited to the Universities Pension Fund and 7% to the Universities Provident Fund.
Amount equivalent to 3% of the salary will be credited by the University to employees' trust fund.
SABBATICAL LEAVE:
The holders of Post of Medical Officers are eligible for one year sabbatical leave with full pay or two years without pay on completion of seven years service. Those proceeding abroad on sabbatical leave are eligible to receive full passage for self and spouse.
