Pool Play/Warm-ups

Gym opens at 8:00 a.m. Coaches: Check in at the table in the middle of the PE Center-Coaches meeting at 8:05 am.

All pools will begin their first match at 8:30 am. There will be a 10 minute (2-4-4) warm up for each team’s first match only. A 5 minute (1-2-2) warm up will follow for the remainder of competition. Pool play matches will be 2 out of 3 games to 25 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary. Balls are not provided for warm-up so please make sure to bring your own.

Playoffs

Playoffs will follow immediately after pool play. After pool play the top two teams from each pool will play in the Gold Pool. The 3rd place teams will play for 5th AFTER WORKING THE SEMI-FINAL ROUNDS. We may play a 15-pt. playoff game to determine the 2nd place team if it is deemed necessary by tournament director. Matches for playoffs are 2/3 (25-25-15 points). Gold Pool Champions only will receive T-shirts. The schedule MAY BE SHUFFLED TO FINISH POOL PLAY EARLY.

Officiating

All teams are responsible for providing their own officiating equipment. For playoffs: Everyone must check-in with tournament director before leaving. Any team late for an officiating assignment and/or competition will be penalized. These teams are subject to a lost point for every minute they are late. Please check with the site director before you leave to make sure your team has no further officiating duties. In our region, coaches (or an adult registered with USAV who has been to an officials’ clinic) will be required to control the match as one of the referees within all age groups. At the 12s level, the first referee must be the coach (or an adult registered with USAV who has been to an officials’ clinic). Coaches and players are required to attend an officials’ clinic before officiating. The officiating team must provide a first referee or second referee, scorekeeper, libero tracker, scoreboard operator, and two line judges.

Other

There are no potlucks or team dinners allowed in this facility. Concessions will be available for purchase as well as other merchandise. Ice will be available for injuries.

Parking/Directions

All team members, coaches, parents and fans should park in the South Lot. If you park in the RFC Lot you WILL BE ticketed. Enter by the southwest doors (along the football field). You can also visit our website for additional directions: For GPS/Driving directions, use: 626 E. 2nd St., Morris, MN.
