STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION:

IT TAKES A LIFETIME

Generations of faith-filled Catholic people have passed on to us the most precious gift that we possess – the gift of faith. As this generation’s “good stewards,” we are obligated to pass on the gift of faith to our children.

Children primarily learn through the examples of their parents. Today, many parents are volunteering their time and tales to their churches and community groups and brining their children along with them. More and more churches and school sare encouraging children to return a portion of their “treasure” – their allowance or other earnings – with special children’s offering envelopes. As we know from our own experience, it takes a lifetime to develop habits of good stewardship.

God has blessed us in so many marvelous ways. Stewardship is a way of life build around gratitude to God, lived out by returning a portion of the time, talent and treasure allotted to us. There is no more precious inheritance we can pass on to our children than this lifestyle of giving and gratitude

“If you will give these instructions…, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound teaching you have followed. (1 Timothy 4:6)

STEWARDSHIP APPEAL UPDATE

Our Stewardship Appeal is being very well received by the people of St. Joseph Parish. To date 548 households have increased their weekly contribution in response to our stewardship of treasure program, representing a weekly increase of $2,926.

Please use the special Stewardship envelope to indicate your new level of giving and then return to your regular envelopes after responding. If you are interested in receiving information on our Electronic Giving Program, please contact the parish office.

St. Joseph’s Church receives a small commission from the merchants from whom you make your purchases. All money raised through this website goes directly to St. Joseph’s Church. We simply get the commission, we do not get a record of items purchased from Amazon. Please give it a try!!

This is not to be confused with our Gift Card program. But if you buy Amazon gift cards through our Gift Card program and then use them on the website to pay for your purchases, you will still receive your usual rebate and we will still make the commission.
