The Chair welcomed new Council member Paul Jackson to the meeting. / 1/17
Following the sad death of Professor Anthony King there would be commemorative events in London and in the University. / 2/17
A student member of the University had recently died and support was being provided to friends and family of the deceased. The University’s policy on drugs and alcohol misuse would be reviewed in due course. / 3/17
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor updated Council on applications figures following the UCAS deadline, noting a strong applications position for both UG and PGT. The future year’s intake was projected to be higher than for this year. / 4/17
