Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to a 1 year contract Driver post commencing on 1 July 2011 (or sooner).
The Role includes:
· Transport samples to and from various clinics or Lung infection and Immunity Sites
· Maintain strict client confidentiality.
· Assist with driving any other vehicles required to transport persons and goods to and from specified destinations
· Conform to all national and local traffic laws and regulations governing the operation of vehicles.
· Ensure that all electrical connections are in good working order at all times
· Ensure that the exterior of the vehicle is kept clean
· Ensure that there is sufficient fuel in the vehicle
· Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil, water and tyres.
· Report any non-routine problems or malfunctioning equipment to management verbally and in writing and where possible assist in obtaining quotes.
· Assist with cleaning of all laboratories in the Division
· Ensure that the TB Laboratory and related areas are kept tidy
· Assist with collection of samples or supplies for Division when required
· Do photocopying and assist with filing
· Assist with data entry of forms
· Carry out miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Essential requirements include:
· Grade 12
· Previous experience as a driver (2-3 years)
· Valid Code 10 driver’s licence

· Good Communication / Public speaking Skills
The annual remuneration for this contract post is R60000 – R80 000
