RE: Schizophrenia Awareness Day 8th August 2008 Award Ceremony and Media Conference
On behalf of the Department of Psychological Medicine, University Malaya I would like to invite you to participate for the above mentioned program.
The media for the past few years had done a great job in creating awareness on mental illness and this is one of the efforts to reduce stigma among the general population.
Therefore, we are happy to invite you to send us articles related to mental illness in specific topic on schizophrenia that has been published from January till December 2007.
A panel of judges (comprises of psychiatrists) will then select the best-written article and the winner will be awarded RM1000.00. The award giving ceremony will take place o the 8th August 2008 at Dewan Sekapur Sirih , Dataran Trauma, University Malaya Medical Centre.

As an effort to increase awareness about Psychiatric disorders, especially Schizophrenia, we would be extremely grateful for your participation.
