UNITED WAY’S DAY OF CARING 2017
EMAIL SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLKIT

United Way’s 5th Annual Day of Caring is September 22 with some projects happening on September 23. The day will kick off with a breakfast rally at Cal Expo followed by volunteer projects in each of our five county region. With 41 volunteer projects happening, our goal is 1,500 volunteers. Nonprofits across the region are counting on us!

Also this year, we’re going to “Stuff the Bus!” We’re collecting school supplies now through Day of Caring, where we will literally stuff a big school bus full of supplies at the main entrance of Cal Expo.

The number one reason people don’t give (time or money) is because they weren’t asked. Let’s change that by asking every company, friend and family member to come out and support one of the nonprofits.

Bonus: Family and friends get to see you in action and witness first hand all the hard work you do for our community.

Below you will find the following:

  1. Email to your company contacts– customize as you wish
  2. Email to your friends and families – customize as you wish
  3. Link to all Day of Caring digital assets and photos to use along with social media
  4. Social media posts - post 2-3 times per week on various platforms – Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. Tag United Way, include photos from the kit and customize as you see fit.
