121Youth participated in programs that build character, citizenship, and develop personal fitness through Boy Scout programs. .

247Girls and young women gained courage, confidence and character through Girl Scout programs. .

41Children were matched one-on-one with positive adult role models who are their friends and mentors through Big Brothers Big Sisters. .

42Individuals were either trained in disaster prevention and preparedness or received direct assistance including; meeting basic needs, counseling and referral by the American Red Cross. .

13Individuals, primarily women and their children, utilized crisis intervention services, safe shelter, or support and recovery services for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence through Crisis Line & Safe House. .

163Individuals, couples & families received therapy or attended therapeutic workshops and seminars offered through Family Counseling Center. .

129Youth & adult volunteers were recruited and trained for community services at Volunteer Houston/Macon. .

30Homebound elderly and disabled people received regular nutritious home-delivered meals from Meals on Wheels. .

25patients & family members were provided with comfort-oriented care during a family member’s terminal illness through Hospice .

1Mentally challenged adult received community services and supported employment from Advocacy Resource Center..

21Pregnant women and families with young children received financial & emotional support through life skills and education from Family Advancement Ministries. .

137People received emergency assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter through the Salvation Army. .

87Armed Forces members and their families received emergency communications or referrals to financial assistance provided by military aid society, referrals and counseling services through the American Red Cross. .

11Domestic violence victims were sheltered in the Salvation Army Safe House. .

18 Food pantries obtained 340,394lbs. of food from Middle GA Comm. Food Bank for distribution to needy families. This was a savings of $542,928.43in food costs.
