United Way Volleyball Tournament Roster

to be held at Otis Service Center, 212 West Newberry Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002

Entry Fee: $30 per person. Entry fee includes barbecue & refreshments. Each player can pay or players can get pledges to raise money for the entry fee. Sponsor forms are available at the web site or by request.

Most / Power
(CoEd) / Highest level of play. Official outdoor USAV rules called. Net violations, carries and throws will be called. Structured play is required.
Female player must participate in 1 of the 3 team hits.
Above
Average / Advanced
(CoEd) / Structured play required. Players have basic skills (pass, set, hit) and team and/or league experience. Carries, catches and throws will be called. Female player must participate in 1 of the 3 team hits.
Average / Intermediate
(CoEd) / Players have basic skills (pass, set, hit). Only safety rules will be enforced such as: running into/under the net, running into people, etc. Carries, catches and throws will not be called.
Maximum number of male players on the court at any time is 4. If team has only 1 female, there can be only 5 players total on the court.
Men’s
Intermediate / Same as above, but no restriction on the number of male players.
Women are allowed to play on the team as well.
Least / Recreational
(CoEd) / Beginner players. No formal skills. Little or no team experience. Safety rules enforced. Teams must rotate servers after 4 serves. No overhand serves.
