Grade Scale

  • Daily work (participation and formative assessments): 10%
  • Tests/projects (summative assessments): 90%
  • Your final exam will be worth 20% of your semester grade

C+ / 79-77
C / 76-73
C- / 72-70
D+ / 69-67

Extra Credit:

  • Students: Every unit students are required to learning objectives

to focus their learning. While required, some extra credit is given for completion as well.

  • Students are able to make test corrections for 10% credit back.
  • Students need to rewrite the question that was incorrect
  • Find the correct answer using notes, worksheets, text, and/or teacher help
  • Write the correct answer below the question

Attendance

  • Tardy:
  • Being on time means 2 feet in the door
  • The classroom door will be closed after the bell rings
  • If a student is late, he/she must sign in on the clipboard need the door
  • After the 3rd tardy students will be required to serve a 15 minute detention
  • Absences:
  • It is the student’s responsibility to find out what he/she missed when absent. The student is to check the cart for class activities and any needed materials.
  • Students have the number of days that he/she was absent to complete makeup work. After that, the assignment will be counted late.

Late Assignments

  • Late work is accepted for ½ credit.
  • Late work is can be turned in until the end of the unit/a test is given on the material.

Emergency Evacuation:

Fire: Exit classroom to the left and evacuate through door 24 (the hill)

Tornado: Find shelter in the little theater

Students MUST stay together and with the teacher

5.Be in your seat from bell to bell
School policy requires students be in the classroom the last 10 minutes of class.
For this reason, I will not issue a pass the last 10 minutes of class.
