Welcome by VP Tajani, Carlos Guzmán Bofill (Director of ProMéxico), Valentin Diez Morodo (President of COMCE)
General presentation: Why invest in Mexico? Why do business with Mexico?
Depending on interest from EU business representatives, parallel sessions with specific information on some strategic sectors could be organised, for example in the areas of aerospace, automobile, renewable energies, IT/telecom and electric/electronic sector.
11.30 / In parallel to the presentations on strategic sectors, we could envisage an interview for VP Tajani with major Mexican newspaper Please define main theme(s) of the interview

8.00-9.00 / Breakfast in the hotel with a Mexican business personality

The main activity could be the organisation of business to business meetings in cooperation with AL-Invest/Eurocentro NAFIN and Mexican business organisations. EU entrepreneurs would describe their profile and manifest their interest in order to be matched up with Mexican business representatives.
In parallel, if EU entrepreneurs are interested in meetings with relevant dependencies of the Federal Government, this can be organised (by ProMéxico). This could for example include information on infrastructure projects, (renewable) energy sector etc.
If there is interest, we could envisage visits to nearby States (2 hours’ drive), to see and hear about opportunities to invest. In particular, we could consider going to Querétaro for aerospace and autoparts clusters and Puebla for automotive sector. Alternatively, a delegation from these States (composed of officials from the local government and business representatives) could be invited to make presentations in Mexico City.
