SURVEY OF AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AND

SMALL SATELLITE PROGRAMMES

The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) is conducting a comprehensive survey of world-wide academic programmes in aerospace engineering and small satellite development.

The purpose of this survey is to compile a directory which will allow United Nations Member States to assess the availability of relevant education opportunities and to help prospective students – including those from developing countries and emerging space nations – to select suitable programmes they may wish to apply for. There is therefore in particular a strong interest to identify those programmes that are also open to accept qualified international students.

The survey is part of a series of activities conducted within the framework of the Basic Space Technology Initiative (BSTI), implemented by UNOOSA under the mandate of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications. Further information on the activities of the BSTI is available from the UNOOSA website at The education directory will be made available at this website and brought to the attention of member States of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS).

It would be greatly appreciated if you would complete and return this survey form by email to Mr. Werner Balogh ()oralternatively submit the online form available from
