(1)Position Statement: The Program Coordinator is a full-time 30 hours/week position, Monday – Friday.Responsible for program development and delivery of programming for a special-needs population of 60+ adults served in the Adult Day Program with an emphasis on enhancing self-sufficiency skills including instruction in the proper use and application of computers. The position includes operational management in scheduling and programming for clients in the Media and Sensory rooms, with proper utilization and programming of sensory and adaptive equipment. Further duties to include the coordination of trips/events, establishing community contacts/resources and maintaining inventory of supplies. Applicant must demonstrate proactive self-initiation and sufficiency. Show initiative, job interest and commitment. Work cooperatively and constructively acting as a positive role model for the adults served and co-workers.

(3)Vacation Schedule:

Three (3) weeks of vacation time pertains to this F/T position. Refer to Personnel Policies for guidelines.

(4)Key Working Relationships:

(a)Internal:Director of Vocational Services, Assistant Director of Vocational Services; Certified Behavioral Analysts; IT personnel; Human Resources, and Residential Staff.

(b)External:Parents, Guardians, WSC, Department of Children & Families, Agency for Persons with

Disabilities, Community Support and Outreach Networks

(6)Education & Experience Requirements:

(a) Education:Associate Degree preferred.

(b) Experience:1 Year experience with adults with developmental disabilities.

(7) Computer Proficiency as demonstrated by the following:

  1. Proficient computer skills required (Excel, Microsoft)
  2. Basic knowledge of computers and able to navigate through Programs and Windows
  3. Complete software installation (Programs Printers) and use search engines (Internet & Explorer )
  4. Able to upgrade pre-installed software (Symantec, Malware).
  5. Basic trouble shooting and ability to follow Instructions.
  6. Demonstrate self-initiative, sufficiency, job interest and commitment.
  7. Work cooperatively and constructively; acting as a positive role model for adults served and co-workers.

Position Title: ADT Program Coordinator

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  1. Provide supervision, care, assistance, and direction to all adults served at all times.Ensure the safety of clients and provide any care or assistance as it pertains to cleanliness, safety and health issues.
  1. Work individually with adults served to achieve IP and behavioral goals.Participate in IP planning and the development of IP goals and task analysis in compliance with State mandates. Instruct staff in the methodology and proper documentation of programs.
  1. Follow all agency policies and procedures at all times. Responsible for the operational management of the Media and Sensory rooms. This will include the delivery of programming to the clients served in the ADT, and instruction in proper usage of the computers and utilization of sensory and adaptive equipment.
  1. Assist with the development of IP goals and the training and supervision of data collection systems and willingness to acquire knowledge of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP’s) to insure compliance with UCP and APD guidelines.
  1. Assist and intervene in all behavioral situations; documenting information according to all guidelines. Follow up on incident reports; insuring documentation accuracy and appropriate routing.
  1. Maintain, document and account for all production flow in assigned areas to include quality control. Oversee snack cart and schedule clients in structured activities, including purchasing materials/consumables as needed to facilitate programming.
  1. Check inventory of supplies and equipment needed to facilitate programming and insure the flow and delivery of services to clients.
  1. Maintain open communication with all departments, supervisors and co-workers. Work cooperatively and constructively acting as a positive role model for the adults we serve andworking supportively with co-workers.
  1. Maintain work area, files and all paperwork in an organized and professional manner.Maintained cleanliness and security of all equipment and work space.
  1. Attend all staff meetings, in-services and workshops as deemed necessary.
  1. Assist with planning and creating other meaningful activities within the ADT program.Coordinate and plan trips and events; establishing community contacts and resources for community integration and field trips.
  1. Assist with providing 1:1 coverage for individuals in crisis during program hours, and transporting when necessary.
  1. Perform all other duties as assigned.

- New hire must pass Flexibility Dexterity examination.
