TASK DESCRIPTION

JESUS CHRIST – LIFE, DEATH AND RESURRECTION

Your task is to make a Powerpoint presentation titled: “Jesus Christ – this is your life.”

You will need to highlight the life of Jesus Christ in a series of slides which include – Birth: Nazareth, Short summary of common miracles, main achievements, major preachings – what was His message?, Why he was crucified etc. , his last days, Easter, Resurrection.

Please include text (in your own words – not cut and paste) and some images.

In order to achieve Level Two:Students can identify prayers that are important for people to learn in order to participate in the life of the church. They can represent many of the symbols, gestures and actions of the Holy Week Liturgical ceremonies.

In order to achieve Level Three:Students are able to describe the role of prayer and worship in the life of the church. They are able to show that they have understanding of the meanings of the symbols, gestures and actions in these ceremonies.

In order to achieve Level Four:Students show an extensive appreciation and understanding of the symbols and gestures of the Holy Week Liturgical ceremonies. They are able to explain how these ceremonies are connected and related to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.

Students use a range of strategies to investigate the interplay between religion and life. In achieving this outcome, studentsEvaluate and reflect upon the questions related to how religion affects the lives of individuals and their communities.

In order to achieve Level Two:Students are able to list the prayers used in liturgy. They are able to portray all the ceremonies of Holy Week using appropriate terminology and symbols and can explain some of the meanings of these ceremonies.

In order to achieve Level Three:Students are able to design a suitable layout to show all the liturgical ceremonies of Holy Week, with their appropriate symbols clearlyexplained. They demonstrate that they have explained what key teachings of Jesus are celebrated in these ceremonies.

In order to achieve Level Four: Students clearly demonstrate the ability to use accurate terminology to describe all the liturgical ceremonies of Holy Week and are able to use religious language with meaning.
