Tell us why the IYPF membership

should elect you to the Board of

Directors.I see myself as a traveler on a life journey (we are all passengers on a train leading to the same destination). I came into this world to fulfill my higher calling. When in school, a Counselor had advised each one of us to follow her heart. And that touched my heart in turn. When I grew older, and especially as a developing country national, there were questions that intrigued me. For instance, why would a refugee suffer in silence? Why would woman and girls continue to be subjected to oppression and violence? Why would innocent children continue to die of preventable causes such as malnutrition? I am someone who deeply cares about the future of the planet. I have seen plenty of pain, suffering and hardship in life. This has further given me the impetus to work to alleviate suffering, those of my fellow beings. I am compassionate, tolerant and understanding. When the UN MDGs (and subsequently the SDGs) came into being, I realized that I had to be a part and parcel of this global movement. As a prospective Board Member, I plan to introduce certain innovative and novel initiatives (like a Global Child Poverty Consortium) etc. Maybe it’s not just about my nomination; it’s about God’s plans for each of us. I am not just destined, maybe I’m willing to follow HIS path through indeed the most impressive and heart-touching work of the IYPF
