Unison Reading from Psalm 26
Clear my name, O Lord, for I have walked with integrity and have trusted in you without wavering. Prove me; put me to the trial. Test my heart and my mind. (pause)
Your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in faithfulness to you. I do not sit with the worthless, nor do I consort with hypocrites. In fact, I hate the company of evildoers, and I will not even sit with those who are wicked. (pause)
I wash my hands in innocence and come to your altar, O God, singing aloud a song of thanksgiving and telling all your wondrous deeds. I love the house in which you dwell, O Lord, the place where your glory lives. Do not sweep me away with sinners, those whose hands are evil instruments, whose right hands are full of bribes. (pause)
As for me, I walk with integrity. Redeem me, and be gracious to me. I stand before you on level ground. In the midst of your people – these people – I will bless you, O Lord.
