FC REDWING 0

RAYNE YOUTH 3

Rayne deservedly won the game and leapfrogged their opponents to finish as League runners up. The visitors were the stronger side from start to finish, Ricco Luccardi supplied the goals with a hat trick while the whole squad played their part. Sam Deal, Jack Ribbans and Kern Williams had particularly good games.

Sunday 9th May 2010

RAYNE YOUTH 3

CHELMSFORDCITY 1

Rayne started slowly but eventually proved too strong for Chelmsford. Lewis Coupland was dreadfully unlucky with a long range lob but later found the net with two brilliant individual goals to see Rayne 2-0 up at the break. A strong run and finish from Kern Williams put the hosts 3-0 up before Chelmsford replied with seconds remaining. Shaun Jones, Callum Lempriere and Chloe Barnard all enjoyed excellent games.

CHELMSFORDCITY BLUES 5

RAYNE YOUTH 1

Poor defending and missed chances were the story of the day as Rayne slumped to a heavy defeat. The home side took the lead early on and although Rayne had a succession of chances it remained 1-0 at the break. Chelmsford moved into a 3 goal lead after the restart, Jarrod Spencer's goal gave Rayne hope before they missed more chances and then conceded 2 more sloppy goals. Shaun Jones and Lewis Coupland stuck to their tasks well.

Sunday 18th April 2010

WILVALE RANGERS LIONS 4

RAYNE YOUTH 8

Rayne produced a good performance and proved too strong for their opponents. Kern Williams (2), Ricco Luccardi, Jack Ribbans, Stanley Norcott, Lewis Coupland, Adam Curtis Gilkes and Jarrod Spencer supplied the goals.

Sunday 11th April 2010

RAYNE YOUTH 0

FENNLANDS UTD 1

Rayne probably deserved to have got something out of this game against the League leaders but, as typically of late, their luck was out. The home side started brightly and but for the visitor's goalkeeper, Ricco Luccardi might have had a hat trick before an unfortunate mix up saw the hosts1 0 down at the break. Rayne never really got going in the second half as they had in the first and Fennlands saw the game out to secure the points. Sam Deal, Adam Curtis Gilkes and Kern Williams all had good games.

Sunday 21st March 2010

HANNAKINS FARM 2

RAYNE YOUTH 1

Rayne pretty much dominated from start to finish yet somehow managed to get beaten. The majority of the first half was played in the Hannakins half with Lewis Coupland, Sam Deal and Adam Curtis Gilkes linking up nicely but Hannakins scored on the break five minutes before the interval. The second half continued in much the same veinand Kern Williams was dreadfully unlucky to see his long range effort hit the bar. Hannakins scored a second breakaway goal in the last couple of minutes, despite Callum Lempriere's heroics, before Coupland scored with virtually the last kick of the game.

Sunday 14th March 2010

FENNLANDS UTD 4

RAYNE YOUTH 1

An understrength Rayne team got knocked out of the League Cup but really gave it a go. Fennlands moved into a two goal lead in the first half but Rayne had chances of their own and shortly before the break Shaun Jones converted from the spot after Ricco Luccardi had been fouled. Fennlands scored again just after the break and again in the last couple of minutes to give a scoreline that was slightly unfair on the away side. Kern Williams and Tom Bain were both outstanding at the back.

Sunday 21st February 2010

RAYNE YOUTH 6

FC REDWING HAWKS 1

Rayne got there in the end against a Redwing side that were a credit to their Club. It took a while for Rayne to get their passing going but once they did Stanley Norcott was hugely influential and Jarrod Spencer and Adam Curtis Gilkes' fine finishes saw them 2-0 up at the break. Redwing deservedly pulled one back after therestart but Spencer's second goal and a second half Ricco Luccardi hat trick saw Rayne home. Sam Deal, Tom Bain and Shaun Jonesall played very well.

Sunday 14th February 2010

FENNLANDS UTD 3

RAYNE YOUTH 0

Rayne were well below par and deservedly lost to a strong Fennlands team. Rayne still had a glimmer of hope at the break as the score was 1-0 but that all but disappeared minutes into the second half when Fennlands doubled their lead. Lewis Coupland hit the bar before the scoring was completed towards the end of the game. Jarrod Spencer worked hard and Callum Lempriere was powerless to prevent any of the goals.

Sunday 7th February 2010

RAYNE YOUTH 2

WILVALE RANGERS LIONS 2

A draw was probably the right result of an entertaining game that could have gone either way. The away side scored towards the end of the first half to make it 1 - 0 at the break. Sam Deal's wonderful finish equalised for Rayne and when Kern Williams' fantastic free kick was parried, Deal was again on hand to make the score 2 - 1. Both teams created and missed chances before Wilvale equalised with about 5 minutes left. Stanley Norcott, Connor Harris, Jack Ribbans and Player of the Match Lewis Coupland all chipped in with particularly good performances.

Sunday 24th January 2010

RAYNE YOUTH 2

FOCUS FERRERS 1

Rayne's persistence paid off as they picked up a victory that their performance deserved. Poor defending allowed Ferrers to take the lead from a corner early on. Rayne then gradually got on top and Ricco Luccardi applied the finishing touch to a well worked move including Kern Williams and Lewis Coupland. After the break Rayne continued to have the better of it but just as it looked as their luck was out Luccardi was sent through to coolly slot away the winner in the last minute.

Sunday 13th December 2009

RAYNE YOUTH 7

MAYLAND VILLAGE WOLVES 1

Sunday 22nd November 2009

GT NOTLEY HAMMERS 1

RAYNE YOUTH 3

Considering the dreadful conditions these two teams served up an entertaining game of football. The away sidefell behind after falling asleep directly following an enforced substitution. Rayne deservedly equalised through Stanley Norcott and took the lead when Lewis Coupland finished off a fine move before the interval. Rayne had the better of the chances in the second half and Norcott saw his effort disallowed before Adam Curtis Gilkes wrapped things up with a third. Sam Deal and Kern Williams were particularly influential and Connor Harris won the Player of the Match award.

Sunday 8th November 2009

FLITCH YOUTH 0

RAYNE YOUTH 1

An understrength Rayne side played some wonderful football in the first half and took the lead when Lewis Coupland finished off a superb move by converting Adam Curtis Gilkes' cross. Flitch came more and more into the game in the second half and Kern Williamsproduced an amazing tackle to prevent an equaliser. Tom Bain and Connor Harris both defended solidly while stand in keeper Shaun Jones was named Player of theMatch.

Sunday 1st November 2009

RAYNE YOUTH 0

FENNLANDS UTD 2

Rayne battled to the end but lost out to a strong, well organised Fennlands side. Over the course of thematch there wasn't much between the teams but sloppy defending meant Rayne were two down at the break. Despite having enough chances to have got something out of the game it wasn't to be. Stanley Norcott won the Player of the Match award with Jack Ribbans and Callum Lempriere not far behind.

Sunday 25th October 2009

Rayne Youth5

FOCUS FERRERS SWIFTS 2

Rayne showed great character to twice come from behind and win. Unbelievably the home side fell behind within 5 seconds but equalised shortly after through Shaun Jones. Midway through the half they were unlucky to fall behind again but Lewis Coupland and Ricco Luccardi scored to see them 3-2 up at the break. Second half goals from Jarrod Spencer and Chloe Barnard gave Rayne a deserved win. Callum Lempriere made an outstanding second half save, while Sam Deal and Stanley Norcott were particularly impressive.

Sunday 4th October 2009

NEW LATCHINGDON PIRANHAS 1

RAYNE YOUTH 1

Rayne picked up a decent point on the road but should have really come home with all three. Not for the first time they started slowly and conceded a soft goal early on. For the remainder of the first half an equaliser looked inevitable and eventually came through Kern Williams just before the break. Rayne dominated the second half during which time Ricco Luccardi was particularly unlucky not to score and Jarrod Spencer's effort was ruled offside. Callum Lempriere performed brilliantly in goal while Connor Harris had a promising debut.

Sunday 20th September 2009

MAYLAND VILLAGE WOLVES 1

RAYNE YOUTH 9

Rayne didn't really get out of first gear but still won comfortably. Kern Williams, Lewis Coupland, Jarrod Spencer and Ricco Luccardi all scored two each with Adam Curtis Gilkes grabbing the other goal. Mayland, who deserve credit for never giving up, scored from a first half penalty. Jack Ribbans was particularly impressive and Chloe Barnard went close to scoring in the last few minutes.

Sunday 13th September 2009

RAYNE YOUTH 6

MALDON SAINTS WHITES 1

Rayne started slowly but eventually got into their stride and proved too strong for a spirited Maldon side. Jarrod Spencer opened the scoring and a Sam Deal header made it 2-0 at the break. A second half brace from Kern Williams added to goals from Ricco Luccardi and Shaun Jones to put Rayne 6-0 up before a late Maldon consolation from the spot.
