UNDER 10’S LEAGUE CUP

Warminster Highbury A secured their place in the next round after running out 2-1 winners at home to Devizes Town A with Joe Hardy and Luke Woods scoring for Highbury.

Warminster Highbury Black were not so fortunate going out of the cup with a 3-2 defeat at home to Marlborough Town. Drew Eglin scored both goals for the Blacks.

UNDER 14’S CUP

Devizes Town Youth started the stronger of the teams taking an early lead in their tie against home side Chippenham Town Youth White. As the game settled Chippenham grew stronger equalising before taking a 2-1 lead. Chippenham pulled together for their 5-4 victory despite missing two of their regular defenders through illness. Ben Pring (2), Nick Newth, Prince Ofoe and Jack Whiting scored for Chippenham.

UNDER 16’S CUP

A very competitive game saw Trowbridge Town take the lead on the half hour mark against home side Devizes Town witha powerful strike from Lewis Smith after dominating the first part of the game. Trowbridge could have extended their lead with near misses from Kieran Mccaldon and James Cryer. The second half saw Devizes come more into the game but Trowbridge keeper, Sam Norris, pulled of several good saves. Trowbridge had further opportunities to increase their lead, with Josh White, Adam Petty, Adam Hughes and Alex De Silva all going close. Devizes snatched alate equaliser with only thirty seconds left to take the game into extra time.Both teams cancelled each other out during extra time resulting in a penalty shoot out to decide the match which saw Trowbridge hold their nerve for a 4-3 victory. The game was played in excellent spirit by both teams and was well refereed by George Parks of Melksham.

UNDER 10 RED DIVISION

Danny Baker gave home side Biddestone B a 1-0 advantage in the first half against Trowbridge Wanderers B. After the break Biddestone pulled together and giving a great team effort to go on and win 5-0 with further goals from Kai Davis, Marcus Kershall, Luke Jones and Callum Hibbert.

Division leaders Devizes Town Youth lost their first game of the season after Trowbridge Town Youth ran out 2-0 winners. Iwan Roberts and Richard Hogarth scored for Trowbridge.

UNDER 11 GREEN DIVISION

Devizes Town Youth ran out 5-0 winners at home against Trowbridge Town Youth B in their penultimate game for this half of the season. Devizes saw goals from Jamie Walters, Archie Easton (2) and Harry Reed (2).

UNDER 11 ORANGE DIVISION

Bradford Town Youth maintain their unbeaten record following their 9-1 away win against AFC Corsham 2nds. Shaun Paradise scored for Corsham.

UNDER 12 BLUE DIVISION

Trowbridge Town Youth A celebrate their third win on the bounce after running out 6-3 winners at home to division leaders Chippenham Town Youth White. Ollie Dew (2), Kyle Webb (2), Sam Robins and George Penny scored for Trowbridge.

UNDER 12 GREEN DIVISION

Callum Seaman gave home side Amesbury Juniors Tigers a 1-0 lead in the first half against Chippenham Town Youth Blue. Early in the second half the Blues drew level with an own goal then held out for the draw.

Jamie Hall gave division leaders Devizes Town Youth the lead in their game away to Trowbridge Wanderers. Before the break Bradley Pearce brought the scores level. After the restart Lewis Cooper made settled the game at 2-1 to Wanderers.

UNDER 12 YELLOW DIVISION

Despite scoring eight goals home side Castle Combe Colts failed to earn their first points of the season as Calne FC ran out 9-8 winners. Luke Palfrey (5), Christopher Kinge (2), David Arthur and George scored for Calne.

Melksham Town Youth Yellow took a first half lead despite Staverton’s efforts to cancel out their one goal advantage. Staverton continued to push forward and were finally rewarded in the last five minutes when Lee Stratton broke down the left wing onto Ed Leeson, then, after many goal clearances, the ball fell to Omar Benchiba outside the penalty area whose shot hit the post but fell to Cameron Mounty to follow up and score the equaliser.

UNDER 13 GREEN DIVISION

The local derby between home side Melksham Town Youth Red and Melksham Park saw all three points going to the Reds with a 6-1 final score. Jack Footner, Callum Daws, Shaun Cleare, Henry Britten and Jack Clayton (2) all scored for the Reds.

UNDER 13 RED DIVISION

After a goal less first half visitors Amesbury Juniors clinched their game against FC Chippenham with a 3-2 final score. Kyran Lewis (2) and Andrew Melia scored for Amesbury with Tyler Hicock and Matthew Harvey replying for Chippenham.

A close game between home side Derry Hill United and AFC Corsham saw both sides cancel each other out in the first half with a score of two all. Corsham were denied the lead before the break when Derry Hill keeper Aidan Berresford saved from the penalty mark. Both sides had their chances after the interval but Amesbury edged the lead to take the game at 4-3. Marcus Frost (2) and Tom Chadwick scored for Derry Hill.

Mere FC ran out convincing 12-0 winners at home to Mere FC with goals from Seth Guy-Knapp (3), Aaron Thorne (3), Tom Windsor (3), Fergus Smith, Jake Francis and Adam Geal.

UNDER 14 BLUE DIVISION

AJ Hobbs gave visitors Melksham Park the lead against Frome Collegians before Tom Maynard made it 2-0. Antonio Lochi put Frome back in the game but a second from Maynard gave the visitors a 3-1 lead before the break. After the restart Lochi completed his hat trick with two fine shots to level the game at 3-3 but two more form Maynard secured a 5-3 victory for Melksham.

UNDER 15 GREEN DIVISION

Calne FC Yellow moved to within one point of the division leaders, with two games in hand, after running out convincing 11-2 winners at home to Trowbridge Wanderers. Calne saw goals from Joshua Croucher, Stuart Allen, Bradley Partner, Oliver Coulson (3), Rory Worthington (4) and an own goal with Billy Austen and Sam Butcher replying for Wanderers.

Warminster Highbury Youth earned a 5-4 win against Melksham Town Reds after a very close game. Ryan Ross (2) AND Jack Woolsgrove (2) scored for Melksham.

UNDER 15 RED DIVISION

A hat trick from Sam Pugh and singles from Sam Turner and Philip Griffiths were enough for Bradford Town B to run out 5-2 winners against Bromham. Matthew Lawrence and Jordan Stafford scored for Bromham.

UNDER 16 RED DIVISION

The depleted ten man squad of Chippenham Town Youth took the lead against visitors Warminster United Youth through Danny Giles but found themselves back on level terms before the break. After the break United proved too strong for the home side taking the lead before going on to finish 4-1 winners.

Trowbridge Town Youth B ran out 14-1 winners against a depleted ten man Melksham Park. Steve Matthews (3), John Williams, Jack Parker (2), Scott Ingram (3), Ashley Hargreaves (4) and Alex Thompson scored for Trowbridge.

UNDER 17 BLUE DIVISION

Visitors Westbury Youth A took the lead against home side Larkhall Athletic but Larkhall were quickly level before taking the lead. Westbury battled on bringing the game level for the second time before half time. After the break both sides looked for a break but it was Larkhall who broke through taking the lead then going on to finish 4-2 winners. George Anthony (2), Dan Roberts and Joe Pilgrim scored for Larkhall with Jonny Tribick and Adam Bishop replying for Westbury. Westbury named Adam Bishop their man of the match.
