Unavailability Submission Form
General Information
The Unavailability Submission Form is used to notify ERCOT regarding all periods of time for which the committed Sites for an ERSResourceare not available.
- Loads - The form should be submitted for initial notification of Scheduled Unavailability, PowerInterruptions, andfor any subsequent revisions or cancellationsof previously submitted notices.
- Generators - The form should be submitted for initial notification of Power Outages, Self-Testschedules and Planned Maintenance and for any subsequent revisions of previously submitted notices.
Up to 2% of the contracted 15-minute intervals in the ERS Contract Period may be excluded from the Availability Factor calculation for an ERS Load or Generator.
Loads
New Submission –Scheduled Unavailability and Power Interruptions
- Power Interruptions are submitted after the fact with verification of power interruption from the TDSP or meter reading entity.
- Scheduled Unavailability must be submitted 3 calendar days prior to the first day of the period of unavailability.
Revision - Changing the start date/interval or the end date/interval of previously submitted notice.
- You may not revise both the start and end information.
- If both the start and end dates/intervals need to be changed first enter a Cancellation for the original “new submission” then enter changes as a New Submission.
- If a revision results in additional15-minute intervalseither prior to or following the previously identified 15-minute intervals, those 15-minute intervalswill be eligible for the 2% exclusion only if ERCOT receives at least three (3) calendar days of advanced notice.
- Revisions which result in fewer15-minute intervalswill be treated as available only if ERCOT receives at least one (1) calendar day of advanced notice.
Cancellation - Canceling previously submitted notice.
- The 15-minute intervalsfor the cancellation will be treated as available only if ERCOT receives at least one (1) calendar day of advanced notice.
Generators
New Submission – Power Interruptions, Planned Maintenance and Self-Test Schedules
- Power Interruptions are submitted after the fact with verification of power interruption from the TDSP or meter reading entity.
- Planned Maintenance and Self-Test Schedules must be submitted 2 days prior to the start of the SCT.
Revision - Changing the start date/interval or the end date/interval of previously submitted notice notices.
- A modification to planned maintenance or self-test schedule may decrease the number of 15-minute intervalsbut may not increase the number of 15-minute intervalsof planned maintenance or the number of scheduled tests.
- A modification will be eligible for the 2% exclusion only if ERCOT receives at least three (3)calendar days of advanced notice.
