November Minutes

Councilman Patrick Wilsey made the motion to accept the minutes. The motion was seconded by Councilman Michael French and unanimously carried. Roll Call;

Open Public Hearing for Local Law #5 authorizing a Community Choice Aggregation Program

The Public Hearing was opened to the public for discussion. Todd Harr of Unadilla stated that after looking into the new law, he felt it would be beneficial to the community, but not for those that were in the Co-op area or had low electric bills to begin with.

Councilman Patrick Wilsey made the motion to close the Public Hearing. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ron Reed and unanimously carried. Roll Call; 5 Ayes, 0 Noes.

Audit of Bills

Councilman Ron Reedmade the motion to accept and pay the bills. The motion was seconded by Councilman Michal Frenchand unanimously carried. Roll Call;

Committee Reports

Highway

Highway crew has been trimming trees and cutting back on brush.

New garage door panels have been installed and Rodney would also like to upgrade the lighting in garage.

New wing has been installed on the 2016 F350 and a ditching bucket for the backhoe has been purchased.

The March 2017 winter storm project worksheet has been completed and submitted for payment to FEMA

Recreation

A meeting is planned for the beginning of January with new officials. Rodney Renwick plans on stepping down from his position on the committee.

Finance

Councilman Wilsey felt good with the Financial Report. Rodney ask for a transfer of funds due to sale of surplus.

Councilman Patrick Wilsey made the motion to transfer $10,200 from DA2665 to DA230.00. The motion was seconded by Councilman Michal Chambers and unanimously carried. Roll Call; 5 Ayes, 0 Noes.

Building

Four quotes for replacing the driveway side of the Town Hall roof were opened and read.

Councilman Ron Chambers made the motion to award the bid to John Partridge. After discussion the project was tabled until next meeting so Board Members had a chance to review all quotes submitted and determine if contractors carry correct insurance.

Councilman Ron Reed rescinded is motion to award the bid at this time.

A quote was submitted by Fyr-Fyter to do Alarm inspections at the Town Hall. Decision was tabled until next board meeting so Board Members could review quote.

Monthly Reports

Town Clerk’s monthly report was submitted with a check for $248.44 for fees.

Town Supervisor’s monthly financial report was submitted

Animal Control Officer’s monthly report was submitted

Flood Control Officer’s monthly report was submitted

Assessor’s monthly report was submitted

Councilman Michael French made the motion to approve the monthly reports. The motion was seconded by Michal Chambers and unanimously carried. Roll Call, 5 Ayes, 0 Noes.

New Business

Local Law #5 authorizing a Community Choice Aggregation Program

Councilman Patrick Wilsey made the motion to pass Local Law #5. The motion was seconded by Councilman Michael French and unanimously carried. Roll Call; 5 Ayes, 0 Noes

Delaware Valley Humane Society Contract

Councilman Ron Reed made the motion to approve the Annual contract for 2018 with the Delaware Valley Humane Society. The motion was seconded by Councilman Michael Chambers and unanimously carried. Roll Call; 5 Ayes, 0 Noes

Privilege of the Floor

Former Councilman Roger Cecce wanted to thank Town Supervisor, Greg Relic for the good job that he has done during his time in office.

Mary Jane Plummer and Denise McCabe Edwards of Hill and Valley Garden Club of Sidney inquired if Town of Unadilla had any problems with them refurbishing their sign.

Roger Cecce informed them that the area in question is actually the responsibility of the County.

Supervisor Greg Relic made the motion to give the Hill and Valley Garden Club approval on the updating of their sign. The motion was seconded by Councilman Michael French and unanimously carried. Roll Call; 5 Ayes, 0 Noes.

Boy Scout leader, Brian Dansforth of Unadilla’s Troop #1 was in attendance with a few of his scouts to earn their Communication and Citizens of the CommunityBadges.

Ed Frazier, County Rep was informing board of the trees that will be taken down on Martinbrook.
