DIRECTORATE: SPECIAL PROGRAMMES AND COMMUNICATION

ASSISTANT MANAGER: SPECIAL PROGRAMMES AND COMMUNICATION

TOTAL PACKAGE: R 760 343, 81 PER ANNUM

FIVE (05) YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:-Degree / National Diploma in Communication / Public Relations / Journalism / Developmental Studies ● A postgraduate degree will be an added advantage ● 3- 5 years Middle Management experience in Local Government of which 3 years’ experience must be in Public Relations field ● Good Interpersonal and communication skills ● Computer Literacy● Knowledge of relevant legislation ● Knowledge of Budget and financial management ● Driving Licence ● Good Communication and Interpersonal skills.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:- Responsible for Media Management, media reports and issuing of media statements and maintenance of media relations ● Coordination of all Special Programmes projects which include children, youth, women, elderly and people living with disability ● Responsible for strategising on the various platforms and mediums of communication to solicit the views of the public, whilst consistently disseminating information on the objectives, programmes, decisions, actions and activities of Umzimvubu Local Municipality ● Responsible for Public relations management and events management ● Responsible for the achievement of all events and projects of the Office of the Mayor and its daily activities ● Responsible for the daily activities of the Executive Committee ● Responsible for Communication and Reporting ● Participate in various meetings LCF & DCF ● Submit regular reports to Head of Department ● Prepare monthly; performance reports and financial reports ● Responsible for Personnel Management and Performance Management ● Implement communication strategies to address relations and awareness ● Website Management in terms of uploading compliance documents and information ● Responsible for Marketing and branding of the municipality.

DIRECTORATE: CITIZEN & COMMUNITY SERVICES

SENIOR LICENSING OFFICER: TASK GRADE 10

SALARY SCALE: R 186450, 00 - R 242042 PER ANNUM

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 12 ● National Diploma/ Degree in Public Management/ Finance ●Minimum of 2 years working experience ● Must have knowledge of eNatis System ● Good communication, supervision and office practice skills ● Must have at least a Code B drivers licence ● Have no criminal record related to money or theft.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:- Supervision of Registering Authority & Traffic Licensing Testing Centre eNatis Revenue Clerks & FilingClerks● Counting and verifying cash amounts against receipts and completing deposit forms/ procedural documentation to facilitate the banking process.

● Compiling the unit reports and submissions for the municipality to Department of Transport ● Attend to customer queries and undertake eNatis Revenue Clerk’s duties when need arise ● Attend meetings related to the unit. ●Reconciling cash deposits referring to system reports and statements and/ or responds, seeks clarity or resolves deviations in transactional information.

GENERAL ASSISTANT: POUND TASK GRADE 03

SALARY SCALE R85266.00 – R95979.00

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 10 or equivalent ●Willingness to work shifts ● A valid driving licence and a peace officers course will be an added advantage ● No criminal record ● Good communication and interpersonal relations skills ●One year experience in law enforcement security services● Must be a resident of Umzimvubu Local Municipality

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:- ● Patrol municipal area and impound stray animals ● Herding of impounded animals ● Brand animals to be auctioned ● Administer medicine to sick animals ●Carry out minor repairs to the pound.

GENERAL ASSISTANT: HORTICULTURE TASK GRADE 03

SALARY SCALE R85266.00 – R95979.00

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 10 or equivalent ● Shifts Worker ● No criminal record ● Good communication and interpersonal relations skills ●One year experience in greening services● Must be a resident of Umzimvubu Local Municipality

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:- ● Cutting/trimming of lawn and verges ● Weeding, clearing and shaping of flower beds ● Planning of trees and flowers on the Municipal amenities and parks and open spaces ● Maintaining the planted trees and flowers ● Removing and replacing refuse bags from collection bins.

DIRECTORATE: BUDGET AND TREASURY

MINICIPAL FINANCE INTERN X2

TOTAL STIPEND: R 100 000.00 PER ANNUM

TWO (02) YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 12 ●Three (03) year degree/Diploma in Accounting or Equivalent ● Advanced Computer Literacy ● Basic Knowledge of Local Government and other Spheres of Government ● Understanding of Internship Programme and its purpose Good academic record

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:- ● Revenue Management ● Supply Chain and Asset Management ● Expenditure Management ● Budget Management and Reporting.
