Please arrive at Gillingham school from 2pm and register by 2:15. Games will start at 2:30 prompt.
On registration please have your affiliation number ready to pass on (if you haven’t already emailed it).
Games will be played 8 minutes each half, with a 1 minute half time (change of ends) and a 3 minute break between matches. Please be prompt to your court as games will be centrally timed.

-Score cards will be provided
-With the neutral umpiring rules most schools will bring 2 staff members. If your school does not progress further than the pool stage we will need one of your staff members to stay for semi-finals and finals.
-Gillingham School and Sturminster Newton High School will be using 6th Formers who are either working toward or whoare qualified C umpires as their umpires.
U15 NORTH DORSET NETBALL TOURNAMENT
TOURNAMENT NOTES:
1. Please would teams report to the tournament desk by no later than 2:15pm
2. Teams and umpires should be on the court by 2:28pm ready to start the first game at 2:30pm.
3. Rules are in the Associations handbook.
4. Timings will be sounded by the bell/horn; however, it is the umpire’s whistle that starts and ends each half.
5. Games are 8 minutes each way with a one minute break at half time, please could umpires encourage teams to turn around quickly.
6. Scoring:5 points for a win
3 points for a draw
1 point if the losing team scores more than 50% of their opponents score
In the event of a tie on points placing will be decided on goal average, i.e. goals scored divided by those conceded.
7. Each team is to provide one competent umpire – games will be played with impartial umpires.
8. Please return score cards to the table after each game.
9. Each member of each team should wear positional bibs. Please bring one spare set in case of a colour clash where the first named team should change bibs.
10. Please will schools arrive changed and provide their own first aid and refreshments.
11. Captains should ‘toss-up’ prior to the match to avoid delay.
12. Please will staff and umpires enforce the ‘no jewellery’ and safe fingernails rule. Players may be asked to leave the court and remove jewellery during the game if this is not adhered to as it is potentially dangerous to other players.
13. Unfortunately we cannot permit parking at the front of school.
