TWO ROBBERS AND ONE SNATCHER ARRESTED IN TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS.

2 LOOTED MOBILE PHONES AND ONE TATA NANO CAR, ONE FZ YAHAMA MOTORCYCLE USED IN COMMISSION OF CRIME RECOVERED.

INTRODUCTION:-

On 01.04.2014, Crime Branch has arrested 2 robbers and 1 snatcher in two separate case and has recovered one Nano car, one FZ Yamaha motorcycle used in commission of crime and 2 looted mobile phones from their possession. One case of robbery of PS Dwarka Sector-23 and one case of snatching of PS Naraina have been worked out.

ARRESTED ACCUSED PERSONS: -

  1. Saurabh Kataria (20 years) s/o Brijesh Kataria r/o D-11, Ranaji Enclave, Nangli Dairy, Najafgarh, Delhi (Robber).
  2. Rohit Tanwar (20 years) s/o Mukesh Tanwar r/o WZ-111, NarainaVillage, Delhi (Robber).
  3. Himanshu Tanwar (20 years) s/o Rajkumar r/o CB-6, Ring Road, Naraina, Delhi (Snatcher).

INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION:-

A team led by Insprs Yashpal Singh and Sandeep Malhotra comprising of SIs Arun Dev Nehra, Sharad Kumar, Pramod Kumar, HCs Gobind, Pawan, Halwant, Sanjay, Sandeep Kumar, Pramod Singh, Devender, Cts Rajeev Sahrawat, Khicharu Ram and Naresh was deputed to analyze recent robberies and snatchings committed on the streets in different areas of West and South-West Districts of Delhi under the close supervision of ACP Hoshiyar Singh and overall guidance of DCP Bhisham Singh.

During surveillance, on 01.04.2014, a secret information was received that the robbers involved in a robbery case of PS Dwarka Sector-23-A would come near round about, PalamVillage to commit some crime. Subsequently, a raid was conducted and 2 robbers namely Saurabh Kataria and Rohit Tanwar were successfully apprehended while moving in a white colour Nano car. On cursory search, one looted mobile phone was recovered from the possession of accused Rohit Tanwar which was robbed by them from a Security Guard in PS Dwarka, Sector-23-A area. Subsequently, the accused persons were arrested u/s 41.1 Cr.PC.

In another incident, on 01.04.2014, on the basis of secret information, the team successfully apprehended a youth Himanshu Tanwar near CentralSchool, Ring Road, Naraina and a FZ-Yamaha motorcycle and a mobile phone were recovered from him. The mobile phone was snatched by him from a girl in the area of PS Naraina. Subsequently, the accused person was arrested u/s 41.1 Cr.PC.

INTERROGATION & PROFILE:-

The accused youths were interrogated and it was revealed that they belong to middle class families and are first timers in the crime. They had indulged in criminal activities to earn easy money.

The profile of the arrested accused persons are as under: -

  1. Himanshu Tanwar (20 years) s/o Rajkumar r/o CB-6, Ring Road, Naraina, Delhiis a drug addict. His father is a small time financer in his locality. He has studied upto 10th standard. He fell into bad company and become a drug addict. Presently, he was got employed by his father as a conductor in a Cluster Bus and was undergoing de-addiction treatment to get rid of his bad habits. On 08.03.2014, he consumed drugs with his old friend Sonu of same locality and snatched mobile phone of a girl working in a private company who was moving on the roadside in PS Naraina area. Later, the victim got case FIR No.98/14 dated 08.03.2014 u/s 356/379 IPC registered at PS Naraina.
  1. Rohit Tanwar (20 years) s/o Mukesh Tanwar r/o WZ-111, NarainaVillage, Delhi has studied upto to 10th standard from govt. school of locality and presently he was in search of job. His father is working as a caretaker in the school bus of a reputed school in Delhi.
  1. Saurabh Kataria (20 years) s/o Brijesh Kataria r/o D-11, Ranaji Enclave, Nangli Dairy, Najafgarh has also studied upto 10th standard in a Model school in MohanGarden, Uttam Nagar. His father is working as a Pvt. Driver in NHAI while the accused Saurabh Kataria is working a car driver with Sarthak Medical Centre, Palam Villlage.

Both Rohit Tanwar and Saurabh Kataria are cousins. On 16.02.2014, both of them were in Dwarka area where they had drinks and then they beat up a Pan vendor as well as a passerby. Thereafter, they looted cash Rs. 2500/- and mobile phone from a Security Guard near Sector-19 Dwarka after thrashing him.

32 looted mobile phones.

The concerned police stations have been informed in this regard.

A team of Special Cell led by Inspector Umesh Barthwal & Inspector Kailash Bisht under the supervision of Shri Manishi Chandra, ACP has busted a racket of African Nationals involved in preparing fake passports of African countries and fake Indian Visa for over staying in India for illegal activities. Three Nigerians nationals namely (1) Kelvin @ Eboy ( aged-28 years ) s/o Cent present r/o Anand Vihar, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi & permanent resident of Umuezela, Police Station-Owerri, Imo States, Nigeria (2) Ibitoroko Melville (aged-53 years) S/o Davies present r/o Lajpat Nagar, Delhi & permanent resident of Bakana, Abuja, Nigeria and (3) Martins Cletus Okechukwu @ Charles (aged- 36 years) s/o Mr. Martins r/o Virender Nagar, Janakpuri, New Delhi & permanent resident of F-Close, Fastac, Town, Lagos, Nigeria have been arrested. 20 filled/blank passports of Ghana, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, blank & affixed forged Indian Visas stickers, 7-rubber stamps of Arrival/Departure of Immigration of Indian and Nigerian airports, stamp pads, papers, CPU, pen drive etc have also been recovered from the accused persons.

In the second week of March 2014, an information was received that two Nigerians Kelvin @ Eboy and Ibitoroko Melville are running a big racket of fake Indian Visas stickers and fake passports of different African countries. The duo were selling them to the citizens of different African countries for facilitating their illegal stay in India even after expiry of their Indian Visas. This information was further developed and local sources deployed to gather more information in the different parts of the city.

On 19.03.2014, specific input was received that Ibitoroko Melville would exchange fake passports, Visas with his associate Kelvin @ Eboy in Sector-13 & 3, Dwarka, Delhi. A trap was laid and both the accused persons were arrested. Blank passports of Republic of Ghana, passport of Republic of Sierra Leone in the name of Johnson Ben and of Republic of Ghana in the name of Sylvester Akwasi were recovered from the possession of the accused Ibitoroko Melville and four filled passport of Federal Republic of Nigeria, three blank passports of Republic of South Africa, Republic of Dafrique Du Sud and Republic of Sierra Leone, one Indian business visa sticker were also recovered from the possession of accused Kelvin @ Eboy and both the above accused persons were arrested under sections of IPC & Foreigners Act.

At the instance of accused Kelvin @ Eboy a raid was conducted at his rented flat in Anand Vihar, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi and 10 more passport of various countries, one blank & one filled Visa of India, seven rubber stamps of Arrival/Departure of Immigration of India, Nigeria, stamp pads, papers, pen drive etc were also recovered. During the house search of accused Ibitoroko Melville, one passport and one CPU used for preparing these fake documents were also seized.

During interrogation, both the accused persons disclosed that they were into this trade for a long time and were providing fake visas and passports in lieu of huge amount to several African nationals to facilitate their stay in India even after expiry of their original Visas. They further disclosed that they have other African associates in this crime Charles, Stanley and Tenten operating from Delhi/NCR and Tamil Nadu.

On 21.03.2014, Martins Cletus Okechukwu @ Charles (aged- 36 years) r/o Virender Nagar, Janakpuri, New Delhi & permanent resident of F-Close, Fastac, Town, Lagos, Nigeria was also arrested and two fake Residential permits one in his own name while another in fake name but having his photograph on it were recovered. During interrogation, above Martins Cletus Okechukwu @ Charles stated that he used to provide African clients to above Kelvin @ Eboy and Ibitoroko Melville and charged his commission from them as well as clients.

Efforts are on to apprehend their other associates. Further investigation is on.

ENVIOUS LOVER KILLED THE HUSBAND OF A LADY.

Highlights:-

  • Gruesome blind murder case solved with in short span of period.
  • Paramour and the wife of victim hatched a well planned conspiracy and made the victim helpless to have liquor in abundance.
  • When victim became stupor, he was killed with knife.
  • Weapon of offence i.e. knife, blood stained shirt and incriminating evidences confiscated.

With the arrest of two accused persons viz. Govind (aged 22 yrs.) s/o Mithlesh and Santoshi Devi (aged 28 yrs.) wife of the deceased, Police Personnel of PS Najafgarh, South-West District has worked out a blind case of brutal murder of 30 years old carpenter. Weapon of offence i.e. knife, blood stained shirt and incriminating evidences confiscated.

GIST OF CASE

On 17/03/14 at about 02.03 PM an information vide DD No. 28-A regarding a male dead body lying in the Najafgarh drain received at PS Najafgarh. SHO/Najafgarh along with staff reached at the spot where a male dead body of 25-30 years old was found, which was fished out of drain. On inspection, sharp injuries were observed on the neck and face of deceased. In order to establish the identity, the corpse was shown to a number of passerby/persons but the identity could not be established. Bereft of any eye witness, a case of murder was registered on DD No. 28A and investigation was taken up in right earnest.

BREAKTHROUGH

In order to establish the identity of the deceased, strenuous efforts were made. Available resources of the district were deployed. Sensing the gravity of the case a team led by Inspr. Atul Kumar Verma, SHO/Najafgarh under the close supervision of the undersigned was constituted. The team launched a mammoth exercise to ascertain the identity of the deceased. Finally painstaking, consistent and methodical working of the team led to establish the identity of the deceased as Surender Sharma s/o Jogi Sharma r/o RZ- 222/26, DayalPark, West Sagarpur, Delhi. Local enquiries were made by the Police to extract clues about the accused. It was transpired that the wife of the deceased had unacceptable affair with one Govind s/o Mithlesh, thus needle of suspicion pointed towards him who was nabbed from his house and put under intensive interrogation. Initially he beat about the bushes and tried to trick the police. When the team confronted with hard facts, he could not give any satisfactory reply and broke down. He confessed his and Santoshi Devi (wife of deceased) involvement in the murder of Surender.

INTERROGATION & CONFESSION

Accused Govind was subjected to sustained interrogation, who revealed that in the year 2013 he came to Delhi in search of some work and resided in adjacent room at the same property, where Surender (deceased) and his family resided. He started working in the factory of Surender and in this way they became good friends. He used to visit frequently the house of victim and developed intimacy with the wife of Surender. Finding no alternative he and Snatoshi Devi decided to eliminate him. On 16.03.14, victim was taken into confidence and was persuaded to have liquor on the eve of Holi. Victim became ready and as per plan he was called at Uttam Nagar-Najafgarh drain. Liquor was served to the victim till he became stupor. Finding an opportune moment, accused physically assaulted with knife till last breath. After confirming his death, the dead body was dumped in the drain.

NAME AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS

  1. Govind (aged- 30 yrs.) s/o Mithlesh r/o 222/26, DayalPark, West Sagarpur, Delhi is an alcoholic and an illiterate. He came to Delhi in 2013 and has rented accommodation. He is married and working as a casual labourer.
  2. Santoshi Devi (aged- 28 yrs.) w/o Late Surender Sharma r/o 222/26, Dayal Park, West Sagarpur, Delhi is an illiterate. Her marriage was solemnized with Surender Sharma (deceased). Two sons and one daughter have also born from the wedlock.

RECOVERY

  • Weapon of offence i.e. knife.
  • Blood stained shirt of deceased.
  • Other incrementing evidences.

Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to effect more recovery. Staff involved in good work will be suitably rewarded.

RACKET OF CHEATING GULLIBLE GAS USERS BUSTED: SIX GAS DELIVERYMEN ARRESTED: 46 CYLINDERS AND PILFERING INSTRUMENTS SEIZED

The police of Central District has arrested six deliverymen namely (1) Kasim, aged 32 years r/o J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi, (2) Ajay, aged 29 years r/o J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi, (3) Himanshu, aged 29 r/o Vill: Hajipur Behta, Loni, Ghaziabad (UP) (4) Jeelani, aged 35 years r/o J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi, (5) Rampreet, aged 28 years r/o J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi, and (6) Hariram, aged 35 years r/o Mandawali, Delhi, involved in pilfer and transfer of cooking gas from sealed domestic and commercial cylinders.

INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION

On 2.04.2014, a secret information was received at Special Staff, Central District about pilferage and transfer of cooking gas from sealed cylinders to empty cylinders. Accordingly, a team consisting of Inspr. Satender Mohan, I/C Special Staff, SI Pawan Tomar, ASI Gajender, ASI Ramniwas, ASI Ranbir, HC Lal Singh, Ct Harish and Ct Naveen under the supervision of Sh. Sudhir Saxena, ACP/Operations was constituted and a raid was conducted near Kanchanpuri Gas Godown, Rajghat in the morning hours. During raid, 06 deliverymen were caught red handed while they were pilfering the cooking gas from sealed cylinders into empty cylinders so negligently as to endanger human safety and lives with the help of an instrument called ‘Bansuri’ in their common parlance. On this, a case vide FIR No. 171/13 u/s 285/336/34 IPC was registered at PS Daryaganj and investigation was taken up.

INTERROGATION

On interrogation, they revealed that In order to earn extra money, they started transferring cooking gas. They used to pilfer and transfer cooking gas from sealed domestic and commercial cylinders to empty ones through illegal means before supplying cylinders of Home delivery. They used to transfer gas using ‘Bansuri’ which is a two-side open hollow steel pipe specifically designed to fit in the mouth of domestic cylinders to transfer cooking gas. They used to make 4 cylinders out of 03 filled gas cylinders. They were doing this since last 6-7 months.

RECOVERY

24 underweight cooking gas cylinders including six commercial cylinders.

21 other sealed cylinders from which cooking gas had to be pilfered.

. KIDNAPPING FOR RANSOM CASE WORKED OUT WITHIN TWO DAYS

A Police team of East Distt. has worked out a kidnapping cum ransom case of PS Mandawali and apprehended a JCL within two days.

Mr. Sunil Kumar S/o Sh Sheeshpal R/o West Vinod Nagar, Delhi-92 gave a complaint mentioning therein that his brother Ravi (name changed) aged 12 years who went to play at Ambedkar Park West Vinod Nagar alongwith his younger brother Rajan (name changed) on 30-03-14 at 13.30 Hrs did not return till late night. A case of kidnapping was registered at P.S. Mandawali, Delhi and investigation was taken up.

During the course of investigation, a ransom call for 50,000/- was received by the family of the kidnapped boy on 01-04-14. The caller did not disclose the place of delivery of ransom by saying that he would disclose the place of delivery later on. A team under the supervision of Sh Veer Singh Tyagi, ACP Madhu Vihar comprising SHO/Mandawali with staff rushed to the location of caller i.e. Ajit Nagar Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. It was found that the call was made from a STD Booth. Intensive search was made in the vicinity of location of STD booth but no clue was found. Maximum staff in plain clothes were deployed with proper instructions in whole area in order to apprehend the kidnapper. On 02-04-14 at 1600 Hrs, a second ransom call of Rs. 50000/- was received from and place of delivery of ransom amount was fixed behind the bus stand Sarai Kale Khan by the kidnapper. Accordingly a team rushed to the bus stand Sarai Kalen Khan, Delhi along with complainant and dummy cash. Suddenly, another call with the same amount was made by the kidnaper from and this time place of delivery of ransom amount was fixed at Anand Vihar Bus Terminal. The staff alongwith the complainant immediately rushed to the Anand Vihar Bus Terminal and the whole Bus terminal was cordoned off by the staff of PS Mandawali, Madhu Vihar and Spl Staff East District. After 20-25 minutes again the place of delivery amount was changed by the kidnapper with the intention to deceive the staff and fixed at Metro Pillar No.207 near Dabur Chowk Kaushambi which is about 1 ½ KM from Bus Terminal. Without wasting any time the same team took their position at new place of delivery of ransom. When the complaint put the bag containing dummy cash near metro pillar No. 207, kidnapper alongwith kidnapped boy came there and within no time the kidnapper was apprehended. He happened to be a JCL. Kidnapped boy was recovered.

RECOVERY

During the course of investigation, the following articles have been recovered.
