Two Rivers 2018 – 2019 Fact Sheet

  • Our Mission statement – To nurture a diverse group of students to become lifelong learners, active participants in their own education, develop a sense of self and community, and become responsible and compassionate members of society.
  • First day of school – Students in grades K – 8 has not been determined.
  • Students in grades PK3 & PK4 will have two days of transition (1/2 of the PK3 & 1/2 of the PK4 class will start on the first day of school; The other 1/2 of PK3 & PK4 will report on the second day of school and the whole PK3 & PK4 class will report on third day of school.
  • School hours – Doors open at 8:15am. If students arrive, after 8:30am students, they are considered tardy. Students are not permitted in the school prior to 8:15am.
  • School ends at 1:15pm on Wednesdays for the Elementary Schools and 3:15pm every other day. School ends every day at 4:15pm in the Middle School.
  • Before and After Care – Before and After Care – Two Rivers has developed relationships with several before and aftercare providers to serve the Two Rivers community. Springboard Kids provides on-site before and aftercare to students and families, and several local providers pick-up students at Two Rivers at 4th Street to transport them to their site for aftercare.

  • Uniform – Students are expected to be in uniform every day. Uniforms are Two Rivers polos, t-shirts, and or hoodies. Details will be mailed in your summer packets.
  • Lunch – Students eat lunch in their classrooms. Food is catered by Revolution Foods. You can access more information and view menus at revolutionfoods.com/in-schools/. Students may bring their lunches, but we are not able to refrigerate or heat their food. Breakfast is offered in the classroom to every student at no cost to you from 8:15am – 8:35am.
  • Nurse – We do not have a nurse on staff at our 4th Street Campus, however we do have 6 certified medication administrators on staff. We do have a nurse at our Young Campus.
  • Behavior – Two Rivers uses the Responsive Classroom approach to create a safe environment where children are able to take risks, both academic and social, to help children understand the importance of kindness toward and acceptance of all people, to celebrate differences in people and cultures, and to learn important social skills such as empathy and problem.
