Two decades of managerial experience in the IT sector
The growth of Hungary’s largest ICT employer can continue under the direction of new Managing Director Erik Slooten with effect from 1 January 2018. The new manager of IT Services Hungary (ITSH), owned by T-Systems International, employing more than 4500 people in four cities around Hungary arrives in the country after a term as chief of Irish eir Group, taking over the position of Chris Wilson who resigned last year.
Reflecting on his new professional tasks, Erik Slooten said:
“Over the course of the past few years, ITSH has matured into one of the best brands in the Hungarian ICT sector. It is a great honour and exciting challenge for me that I, too, can be a partner in the next chapter of the story of this brand. Born in the Netherlands, 46-year-old Erik Slooten has nearly two decades of senior management experience acquired in an international environment at global market leader mobile and ICT firms.
For instance, he played a key role in the drafting and implementing of the strategies of eir Ireland, Slovak Telecom in Slovakia, GTS and T-Mobile in the Czech Republic, and Vivacom in Bulgaria.
His career is highlighted by the introduction and restructuring of major IT systems, while he was also an active player in the successful realization of various outsourcing and automation projects.
Erik Slooten has valuable experience that will be highly beneficial in his managerial appointment at ITSH not only in information technology, but also in the areas of B2B sales, marketing and business development.
