Teaching faculty members from Engineering Colleges & Polytechnic Colleges and Industrial persons with a basic qualification in Civil Engineering can attend the Workshop Programme.

About the Department

The Department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2009, offering B.E. Civil Engineering degree course. The department has experienced and well qualified faculty members in many fields of specialization including Structural, Environmental, Geotechnical, and Transportation Engineering. The department has adequate infrastructure and modernized equipments. It has an active Industry-Institute partnership to interact with industries for consultancy works and to motivate the students on ethics of profession with additional exposure on technological advancements. The department is Life member of Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Madurai.

About the Course

This workshop provides working knowledge on Total station, Global Positioning System (GPS) and Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) which are the modern surveying instruments widelyusedin variousCivil Engineering Fields. It also helps the participants to learn technical skill through hands on learning activities and technical concepts involved in Civil Engineering.
