TWIN CITIES LIVE – WENDY’S KID REPORTER CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

1.HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

To enter this contest, a child between the ages of 7 and 12, along with his/her legal parent/guardian, must stop by one of the following Wendy’s casting call locationslisted below; registration will start at 2:30 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m., with interviews starting at 3:00 p.m. and running until all registered children have been interviewed, or 5:00 p.m., whichever first occurs; however, the first thirty (30) children registered will be guaranteed an interview:

a.Wednesday, July 27, 2016: Wendy’s Woodbury, 8376 Tamarack Village, Woodbury, Minnesota.

b.Wednesday, August 3, 2016: Wendy’s Richfield, 6500 Lyndale Avenue South, Richfield, Minnesota.

c.Wednesday, August 10, 2016: Wendy’s Coon Rapids, 12999 Round Lake Boulevard, Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

A parent/legal guardian over the age of 18 must be present and on-site during the entire audition process and will be required to sign a waiver on behalf of his/her child. Each child will be interviewed by Twin Cities Live Staff members and asked questions about why he/she would like to become the Wendy’s Kid Reporter at the Minnesota State Fair. Each child will be judged based on the following criteria: engaging personality (34%), ability to articulate (33%) and energy (33%).

2.HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN: Enter as explained in Paragraph 1 above. From all auditions, the winnerwill be chosen based on, but not limited to, the following judging criteria: engaging personality (34%), ability to articulate (33%) and energy (33%). The contestant with the highest score using the preceding judging criteria will be deemed the winner.The winner’s parent/legal guardian will be contacted via email and telephone. In the event of a tie, the contestant with the highest score in the personality category will be deemed the winner from among all tying contestants. The winning child’s family will be notified by Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

3.CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE: The parent/legal guardian of the winning child must claim his/her child’s prize in person at the KSTP-TV Studios, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) prior to Thursday, August 25, 2016. Failure to comply with this deadline shall be deemed to be the winner’s forfeiture of his or her right to claim a prize. The winner’s parent/legal guardian must present identification acceptable to KSTP-TV (e.g., state drivers license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If the winner’s parent/legal guardian cannot prove he/she is qualified to accept the prize on behalf of his/her child/ward, the prize will not be awarded. Any unclaimed prize remains the property of Twin Cities Live.

4.PRIZE: There will be one (1) winner in this contest. The winning child will joina Twin Cities Live host or reporter on Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Minnesota State Fair. The child, along with his/her parent/legal guardian, must be available on Friday, August 26, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The following prize will be awarded to the parent/legal guardian: four (4) tickets to the 2016 Minnesota State Fair (value: up to $50).

A qualified winner must also meet the eligibility requirements as set forth in Paragraph 5 of these rules. The winner’s parent/legal guardian is responsible for paying all applicable income taxes.

5.ELIGIBILITY: Children between the ages of 7 to 12 years of age as of July 27, 2016 (accompanied by a parent/legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age), andmust be residents of Minnesota or Wisconsinin order to be eligible to participate in this contest. Employees of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Wendy’s, including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter. In order to be eligible to win a prize in this contest, you cannot have won and accepted any prize from Twin Cities Live within 30 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest, or won and accepted any prize or combination of prizes with a total stated value of $1,000.00 or more from Twin Cities Live within 365 days prior to the awarding of a prize to you in this contest.

6.RELEASE; CONSENT TO USE LIKENESS, VOICE AND ADDRESS: The winner’s parent/legal guardian must execute an affidavit of eligibility on behalf of his/her child/ward. Each person’s parent/legal guardian, on behalf of his/her child/ward, entering this contest (a) agrees to release and indemnify Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., KSTP-TV, LLC and Wendy’s (including their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent or related companies) from and against any and all liability, claims, damages and actions arising directly or indirectly out of or sustained in connection with the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize(s), and (b) consents to the use by KSTP-TV for promotional purposes only of his likeness and/or voice, address (city and state), and the filming of the segment with Emily Engberg on Friday, August 26, 2016, without any additional compensation. By accepting the prize, thewinner’s parent/legal guardian, on behalf of his/her child/ward, agrees to be bound by these official rules, including the above release.

7.WINNER LIST: For the first name and city of the winner, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope before September 16, 2016, to Winners List, Twin Cities Live, Wendy’s Kid Reporter, 3415 University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55114.

8.MISCELLANEOUS: Decisions of KSTP-TV concerning any and all matters with respect to this contest shall be final. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change these rules, as well as the terms and conditions of this contest, without notice. KSTP-TV reserves the right to change the prize values at any time, or to substitute prizes of comparable value. Contest is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable. KSTP-TV is not responsible for printing errors in the contest materials or these official rules.
