TWENTY-SEVENTH SENATE DISTRICT

Twenty-seventh. All of Clarke, Fauquier, and Frederick Counties; all of the City of Winchester; part of Culpeper County comprised of the Jeffersonton (501) Precinct and part of the Brandy Station (702) Precinct; part of Loudoun County comprised of the Aldie (309), Middleburg (307), and St. Louis (308) Precincts; and part of Stafford County comprised of the Hartwood (101) Precinct and part of the Ruby (203) Precinct.

Precincts shall be interpreted to refer to those in existence on April 1, 2011, and as reported by the United States Bureau of the Census in the 2010 Census reports provided pursuant to United States Public Law 94-171, notwithstanding subsequent changes made by localities.

The following descriptions are provided for information purposes only pursuant to § 30-264 of the Code of Virginia. The provisions of § 24.2-303.3 of the Code of Virginia, including the statistical report referenced in and on file with the Clerk of the House of Delegates, shall be controlling in any legal determination of the district boundary.

A. Part of Culpeper County lying east and north of a line described as follows:

  1. Beginning on the Culpeper County—Rappahannock County boundary and its intersection with Holly Springs Road (State Route 639) and an unnamed legal boundary:
  1. southeast .14 miles on the unnamed legal boundary (northern boundary of Eggbornsville (302) Precinct and census block 510479301023070) to an unnamed stream
  1. south on the unnamed stream, crossing Quail Ridge Drive (eastern boundary of Eggbornsville (302) Precinct and census blocks 510479301023070, -3050, -3054, -3073, and -2016) to Indian Run
  1. southeast on Indian Run to HazelRiver
  1. south, east, and south on HazelRiver to Muddy Run
  1. west .72 miles on Muddy Run to an unnamed legal boundary
  1. southwest .12 miles on the unnamed legal boundary to an unnamed road
  1. southwest .04 miles on the unnamed road to Brookshire Lane
  1. southwest .025 miles on Brookshire Lane to Mount Zion Church Road (State Route 625)
  1. south and southwest on Mount Zion Church Road to Alanthus Road (State Route 663)

  1. south .19 miles on the unnamed legal boundary and its continuation as an unnamed road (eastern boundary of census block 510479304001112) to Borst Lane (State Route 734)
  1. east .07 on Borst Lane, past Double Nickel Lane, to an unnamed road
  1. south .37 miles on the unnamed road (eastern boundary of census block 510479304001147) to Carrico Mills Road (State Route 669)
  1. southeast on Carrico Mills Road to Stones Mill Road (State Route 672)
  1. east and northeast on Stones Mill Road to Edwards Shop Road (State Route 620)
  1. east on Edwards Shop Road to the Culpeper County—FauquierCounty boundary, the ending point.

B. Part of Loudoun County lying west and south of a line described as follows:

  1. Beginning on the Loudoun County--Prince William County boundary and its intersection with James Monroe Highway (U.S. Highway 15):
  1. north on James Monroe Highway to a point .06 miles north of the intersection of the Highway with Oatlands Road (State Route 650) and to Goose Creek
  1. northwest on Goose Creek to a branch of Goose Creek that flows into Goose Creek at a point .11 miles east of the intersection of East and West Lime Kiln Roads (State Route 723)
  1. meandering west on the branch of Goose Creek to Foggy Bottom Road (State Route 626) (following the northern boundaries of Aldie (309), Middleburg (307), and St. Louis (308) Precincts)
  1. north .4 miles on Foggy Bottom Road to another branch of Goose Creek that intersects Foggy Bottom Road at a point .12 miles north of the Foggy Bottom Road/Bridgestone Lane intersection
  2. west on the branch 1.1 miles to an unnamed legal boundary

  1. northwest on Abel Reservoir to Long Branch
  1. northwest on Long Branch to Potomac Run
  1. northwest on Potomac Run crossing Stefangia Road to a stream entering Potomac Run at a point .15 miles west of Stefangia Road
  1. north on the stream, crossing Beaver Ridge Road, to a point .04 miles southwest of the end of Secretariat Drive and a western branch of the stream
  1. west .12 miles on the branch to an extension of Autumn Drive
  1. north on the extension and Autumn Drive to Mountain View Road (State Route 627)
  1. west on Mountain View Road to Rock Hill Church Road (State Route 644)
  1. north on Rock Hill Church Road to Aquia Creek
  1. east on Aquia Creek to a branch of the Creek flowing into Aquia Creek from the northwest and crossing Longwood Drive .06 miles west of the Longwood Drive/Wild Turkey Drive intersection
