Tweenies’ Daily Routine
8 – 8:45 – Welcome the children into the room and ask the parents if their child has been ok and if their routine has changed.
8 - 8:30 – Children arriving at this time may have breakfast please check with parents and their key worker (if possible). Any needing breakfast after this time will have to wait till morning snack.
8:50 – Tidy up time & song time– Encourage the children to help with tidying up putting the toys in their correct boxes and in the right area of learning. Then sit together and encourage the children to choose their own songs and rhymes, for Song time. (this can change, it might be a story, dancing, songs and rhymes)
9:00 – Snack time – Help the children with washing hands and then take them to the kitchen for snack and something drink.
9:15 – 11:00 – Activity Time/ Garden time/ Key worker time – Also in this time you can change your children’s nappies.
11:00 – 11:15 – All the children come together either in the baseroom or in the garden.
11:15 – 11:25 – Singing and dancing time – encourage the children to choose songs or dancing.
11:25 – Wash hands for lunch – Help the children with washing their hands and then go to the down stairs kitchen.
11:30 – Lunch time – Ensure all the children are sat at a table with their bibs on, drinks in front of them and their placemats. Encourage the children to feed themselves, and help those who are struggling.
12:00 – 1:00 – Nappy time / Sleep time – Change the children’s nappies before they go home or go to sleep, check with Sleep rotas where children should be sleeping.
1:00 – 1:15 – Welcome the children who arrive for the afternoon session
2:00 – 4:00 - Activity Time/ Garden time/ Key worker time –Also in this time you can change your children’s nappies.
4:00 – 4:30 – Tea time – Not all the children have tea there is a tea rota so please check this daily.
4:00 – 6:00 – Baseroom play/ Garden play – The children who are not having tea will do this first and will be joined by those having tea once they have finished.
6:00 – Home time
