A Listing of Service Agencies that Provide Assistance For Persons with a Disability

History of the Turtle Mountain Disabilities Coalition (TMDC) and purpose of directory:

The TMDC was established by disabled individuals, professionals, and family members with the need to provide representation to Disabled Individuals within Rolette County. Most importantly, those Disabled Tribal members that do not have access to this information. It is the hope that this resource directory will assist in identifying appropriate financial sources, assistive technology agencies, and Independent Living service agencies.

These agencies provide opportunities and services which enhance the lives of persons with disabilities and their families, including assistance through fund-raising activities.

  1. Training

These agencies provide assistance with obtaining skills needed for employment that may include training cost. They provide vocational assessments, and may help with employment accommodations.

These agencies provide assistance to determine housing arrangements and accommodations. Some housing is low-income based, market rents, and subsidized. You may be required to reside off the reservation.

These agencies provide evaluations that include assessments within vocational centers (reports and career information) as well as recommendations within training employment outcomes.
