TURNITIN.COM Electronic Submission Instructions
Follow these instructions to submit your required electronic copy of the World Cultures research paper from 3-2 through 3-9. Remember this is the last required element of this project:
1. Go to http://www.turnitin.com
2. Log in (& skip to step 10 if you have already used this year) or Click on: New Users
3. A question will ask if you are a student or a teacher.
i. Click on: Student
ii. Then click on: next.
4. Next, you will be asked for an email address.
i. Enter your e-mail account or your parent’s e-mail address (info will be sent to the address you use)
ii. Click on: next.
5. On the next screen, you will create a personal password so that you can gain access to Turnitin.com.
i. Make it a password that you can remember.
ii. Once you have entered and confirmed your password, click: next.
6. On the next screen, enter a secret question and answer. Click: next.
7. Now enter your full name so I can identify your paper. Click: next.
8. Click: I agree-- create profile.
9. Click: End wizard and log on.
10. Now click on “Enroll in a Class” and use the following information:
Ø First Period AC (1115-7) ID:12271243 password: research
Ø Second Period AC (1115-3) ID:12271252 password: research
Ø Fifth Period AC (1115-9) ID:12271265 password: research
Ø Sixth period AC (1115-10) ID:12271268 password: research
11. On the next screen, click on the link for Period 1, 2, 5 or 6 and DAYWALT as the instructor.
12. Read the directions for submitting a paper. Submit your paper and the Works Cited page as ONE DOCUMENT.
13. Title your essay using your last name, first name and research paper.
14. Next, click: browse. Find your file on the computer drive. Highlight the file &
click: open.
15. You should receive an e-mail receipt. Print out page one and turn it in to me.
*Turnitin will have a scheduled system maintenance on March 5th from 7:00AM to 11:00AM Pacific Time Due to the maintenance, Turnitin may be briefly unavailable between those times.
