Tuition Payment Policy for St. James School

At the time of registration, parents/guardians will be asked to choose one of three payment plan options:

  • Pay in Full by Oct. 1st
  • 2 payments (50% due by Nov 1st and the balance due by March 1st) or
  • 12 Monthly payments (Due on the 30th of each month August to July)

The 12 monthly payment optionisonly available to families that enroll in online automatic deduction payments.

Returned checks or online payment rejections will result in a St. James processing fee of $25.00 in addition to any fees charged by the banking institution or online payment center. These fees will be added to the tuition bill.

If at any time, the balance owed is overdue by 30 days or more without contact or alternative payment arrangements being made by the parent/guardian responsible for tuition payments, then the following procedure may occur:

  • A copy of the registration agreement along with a statement of account being sent to the family with a letter that requests payment or a parent/guardian meeting with the school administrator and business manager. At the meeting, a payment plan that is mutually acceptable with the parent/guardian and the school will be reached.

If at any time, the balance owed is overdue by 60 days or more and no contact has been established with the parent/guardian responsible for tuition payments regarding a payment plan, then the following procedure mayoccur:

  • A letter will be sent to the parent/guardian that requests contact with the school regarding the overdue balance within 10 days. If no response is received than one of two things mayoccur:
  • The account being sent to a collection agency.
  • The parent/guardian being notified that the student will no longer be able to attend St. James School and an effective date will be listed.

St. James School administrator and/or business manager will make every reasonable attempt to arrive at a mutually agreeable payment plan but we ask that parent/guardian contacts us directly with unusual or extenuating circumstances. It is our goal that every student has the opportunity to continue their education at St. James School and complete the current school year.

It is also expected that the parent/guardian responsible for tuition payments will fulfill their payment plan obligations as agreed upon at registration. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to contact the school administrator or business manager if/when an overdue balance occurs and when any written or verbal correspondence is initiated by the school.
