Tuesday Hoops for Heart Day (Red T-Shirts)

Student Council & Golden Eagles:Student Council hosted its annual Penny Wars last month were half the proceeds were donated to the Animal Rescue League. Vice President Marquis Bundy visited the ARL and presented them with a check. Golden Eagles representatives (Brad Kofoed, Jarrett Rotter, Emily Noy-Boudy, and, KammiDusenberry) presented the ARL with hundreds of toys made by the Golden Eagles.

Iowa Assessment: The biggest assessment of the school year is right around the corner. Remember to get a full night of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and be prepared to do your best. The following days and times are when the Iowa Assessment will be given. Make sure you mark your calendar!

Jazz Band: The McCombs Jazz Band was selected as the top middle school jazz band at the Des Moines All City Middle School Jazz Festival. All of the middle schools in Des Moines participated in this event. Corey Harris selected the McCombs Jazz Band group as the top group in Des Moines. They will be honored and performing at the Stellar Awards presented by DMPS in May.
