We are here for the education, care and safety of your children. With this in mind, the following policy will be enforced in order to keep your children safe. During the summer program children are to wear:

  • non-marking sneakers
  • comfortable shorts and t-shirts.
  • Pumps and dress shoes are strictly prohibited because the activities throughout the day do not allow participation with these types of shoes and are hazardous to the child.
  • Ministry t-shirts are required on field trips to St. Louis. If your child does not have on a program t-shirt, he or she will not be allowed to attend the field trips to St. Louis, unless extra shirts are available.
  • If a child enters the program with unacceptable clothing, parents (or emergency contact) will be called and expected to provide proper clothing. Clothing should be planned with the schedule of activities as a guide.
  • Due to safety reasons, students are not allowed to wear flip-flops.
  • All parents and students shall be properly attired while attending, visiting, Picking up your child or dropping your child off at the TVCA-CPS.
  • Please do not wear anything that is too revealing or very short.

Drop-Off and Pick-up Safety Tips

Please lock your vehicle and do not leave your wallet, purse, or other valuables visible in the automobile.

ITEMS NEEDED FOR CAMP

Each day, the child should bring the following items to camp (please label all items sent to camp with your child's name):

• Swimsuit (Friday's Only)

• Towel (Friday's Only)

• Backpack (to store items not being used)

• Prescribed Medication in original packing (If necessary)

The camp staff requests that you do not send any toys (i.e. game boys, etc). The toys from home may tend to provide an unnecessary distraction for the other campers when the staff is trying to implement a game or activity. In addition, we do not want a child to misplace or lose toys. The camp will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items. Parents are strongly encouraged to help the child pack for camp daily to ensure that inappropriate items are not brought to camp.

**All items should be clearly labeled with full first and last name. **

Lunches

Children may bring zip lock bags only! The campers may bring a lunch as well as a separate bag for snacks. Please place your child's name and age on each bag. If your child is here longer than 9 hours per day we highly recommend that you pack a snack bag. Each day when your child arrives at TVCC they will drop off their cold lunches at the kitchen window. Once lunch has been dropped off, your child will be allowed to eat until the designated time. Food and drinks are not allowed in the classrooms or the chapel. If a child comes to camp without a lunch we will prepare a cold lunch for $3.50.

In the event of inclement weather, we will make amends but we must work together to keep the cost of doing business at a minimum for all parties concerned. Also, if your child is going to miss on a respective day, please notify the main office so that the driver can maintain accurate records of which youth will be riding each day.

TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH

Standards Of Conduct

TRUE VINE FAMILY LIFE CHURCH Summer Ministries holds that the Bible is the infallible, divine

Word of God and that the salvation by faith in Christ is the initial step in the Christian life. There is adequate Biblical basis for the idea of spiritual growth into the image of Christ (Romans 8:29), which is the work of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18). This growth begins with the initial act of saving faith and continues throughout life. The Holy Spirit makes the Christian conscious of the Biblicaldemands for a holy life which fulfills both God’s moral law and high law of love (Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 13:8-10; Galatians 5:14). The result is a life consecrated unto God and separated from the world.
