New Business:

Parker Wrecker – Message to Janet Parker

Michael Roberson spoke with Janet Parker to officially inform her that she would not receive a route assignment. A letter has been draft, but it is still being discussed. It is anticipated that Michael Roberson will send the letter soon.

Discussions concerning Parker as well as a request from Terry’s Towing prompted a review of the TRIP specifications regarding applications in a non-enrollment period. The specifications currently indicate that applications will only be accepted and considered during designated enrollment periods.

TRIP Specifications Reminder: Section 3.4 Response Requirements

Mac McKissack and HERO representatives visited Sosebee’s for a spot inspection of TRIP equipment. Sosebee’s 50 ton was in the shop with transmission issues. This revelation prompted the need to remind the TRIP companies of the specification requirement to notify program managers when a piece of equipment will be unavailable for service for a prolonged period of time.

Spot inspections will continue monthly.

Extrication Class

Some sponsors who typically host a vehicle extrication class at Roswell’s public safety training facility would like to co-host and help coordinate the next heavy-duty vehicle extrication class. The event is currently scheduled for Oct. 24 &25 at Marietta Wrecker’s facility.
