Trinity Planning CommissionApril 17, 2012

Opened Public Hearing at 6:05 p.m. by Town engineer Sonny Wright stating that this is a public hearing for anyone to speak in favor of or in opposition to the following proposed amendment to the Trinity Zoning Ordinance No. 2005-04 of the Town of Trinity:

Comments: Joe Kleri, Meadowview Subdivision, I have a couple of things, the history of the change and why?

Sonny – one instance I’m aware of we looked at a lot where a man was building a garage facing the side of the dead end street was stopped because side was as deep as front on corner lot. The proposed structure was sticking out and not in compliance.

Joe – On October 24, 2011 I heard his appeal and denied it the normal course was to appeal to the circuit court. It came back to this meeting, there is a direct link to changing the Ordinance to meet this persons need. At the meeting I laid out the options that would still meet code and 4 other options to meet ordinance. Last I heard he was moving it back and not a hardship. I see this as a direct ethics violation. He wants a garage out to the street and does not leave much room. You can’t put a boat in much less a car to move. A carriage house garage 2 stories. To proceed is violation of ethics. This was denied from the Zoning Board of Adjustments. Section A is a great thing with cul-d-sacs there’s not enough room with 35’ set back and can’t maintain. The board heard 5 or 6 cases and this should be changed. The one denied and just get the law changed is a ethics violation and someone knows someone or something to get this changed.

Sonny – we will take this into consideration and will now close the hearing at 6:12 p.m.
