Torah - Lev 3

1 And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before YHVH. 2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about. 3 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto YHVH; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 4 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away. 5 And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto YHVH. 6 And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto YHVH be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish. 7 If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before YHVH. 8 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar. 9 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto YHVH; the fat thereof, and the whole rump, it shall he take off hard by the backbone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 10 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away. 11 And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto YHVH. 12 And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before YHVH. 13 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about. 14 And he shall offer thereof his offering, even an offering made by fire unto YHVH; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 15 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away. 16 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savor: all the fat is YHVH's. 17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.

Haftorah - Eze 20:33-44

33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: 34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. 35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. 36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: 38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am YHVH. 39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols. 40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things. 41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen. 42 And ye shall know that I am YHVH, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers. 43 And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed. 44 And ye shall know that I am YHVH when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Haftorah - Eze 44:10-14

10 And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity. 11 Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them. 12 Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity. 13 And they shall not come near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy place: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed. 14 But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein.

Brit - Rev 8:1-13

1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before Elohim; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before Elohim out of the angel's hand. 5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. 6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. 7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. 10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. 12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. 13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

From πατέομαιpateomai (to eat); a crib (for fodder): - manger, stall.

The Festival of Lights = The scriptures seems to indicate that Yahshua was born during the festival of Sukkot, on the 15th of Tishrei 15, which is the 1st day of Sukkot. That is the 30th of September this year.

Yahshua was born in a sukkah on Sukkot/Tabernacles not in a manger on Christmas!!

Luke 2:12 says that Yahshua was laid in a manger and the word manger is the Greek word phatn'e. It is the same word translated as "stall" in Luke 13:15. Phatn'e is a place for hitching cattle. The Hebrew word for stall is marbek (see Amos 6:4 and Malaachi 4:2). In Gen. 33:17, it is written that Jacob journeyed to Sukkoth and made booths ... and booth means sukkah.

During the Feast of Sukkot, God required that all male Jews come to Jerusalem (see Deuteronomy16:16). That is why the city was overcrowded with people and would explain why Mary and Joseph couldn't find lodging in or around Jerusalem.

Joh_1:14, "And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent (dwelt4637) among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of the only brought forth of the Father, complete in favor and truth."

This is the first prophetic fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles, Booths, Biblically "The Feast of Sukkot." Lev,23. This Feast begins on Tishiri 15 and runs for Seven days, plus an Eighth day "The last great day," This verse is the birth of Messiah Yahoshua Who came to dwell with us. This word Sukkah as in "The Word became flesh and Sukkah'ed among us," also means Tabernacle, Manger, Live, dwell, as when the Israelites in Exodus lived in tents in the desert for 40 years, and YHVH dwelt with them in The Tent He gave instructions for them to build for Him to dwell in, Sukkah in, Tabernacle in, Manger in, with them. This is the Set Apart Place and the Most Set Apart Place that was in smoke by day and fire by night. And when they were to move to another location, the smoke would lift and move for them to follow, as we are to follow YHVH in all that He does and wherever He goes. When Yosef (Joseph), husband of Miriam (Mary) went to Beit Lechem (House of Bread)(Bethlehem) it was for two reasons. One to pay taxes, but the main focus was to keep the Feast of Sukkot. This is where Yosef built a Sukkah to live in for the seven days of the Feast to keep and honor this Feast of Booths, Tabernacles, Sukkot. Mary could have stayed at the INN but because of the Feast there were no rooms left anywhere, so she joined her husband in the Sukkah where she gave birth to forth her first born SonYahoshua, on Tishiri 15, in the Sukkah and not in a feeding trough in a stable. The Fourty years that the Israelites lived in tents in the wilderness was all in the shadow of the Coming of Messiah and literally how He would come. All of the Feasts of YHVH were instituted as prophetic rehersals that we would recognize Him when He came and not follow after pagan false gods. Our trouble in understanding these Feasts and the prophecy they contain is that when translated into Greek they loose their meanings and fragrence, and steal from us a personal understanding of our Roots. This discussion will think in Hebrew and restore the Hebrewness of our heritage.

The second prophetic fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernaclesis found in Rev 20:4, "And they lived and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years." Zech 14:16, "And it shall be that all who are left from all the gentiles which came up against Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) shall go up from year to year to bow themselves to the King of Kings YHVH Yahoshua of hosts, and to observe the Festival of Booths."

This fulfillment yet to come, will last for One Thousand years. The New Jerusalem will be there, and there will be Twelve Gates to the city, each named after one of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

Here is an off topic challange for each of us. Which Gate will you enter into the City called The New Jerusalem?

If I cover all the Feasts that our Saviour Yahoshua attended in one post, most would tire and not see all there is that is so vital to not only understand Who Yahoshua is but also How to follow Him in a Biblical manner as He Requests. Also, how much can we absorb in one very lengthy post?

So this post will end here, more Feasts but will be posted separatly on another discussion. There to be added to one Feast at a time.

It is very important Mishpochah (Family), to understand the Ministry of our Messiah. Many facets of His Ministry are not taught in most churches, so here on Christ Sites, we will cover what the Greek thinking churches fail to understand about a Jewish Hebrew Messiah Who kept the Torah and all the Commanded feasts. They are reported in the New Testament, Renewed Testament, Renewed Covenant, WORD of YHVH. But they are misunderstood and missed in Greek thought. Will explain.!

Leviticus 3:1-17 -Ezekiel 20:40-44, 41:10-11 -Psalm 71-Revelation 8:1-13

Vayim tzevach shalamim karbani/ If a Feast Peace-OfferingSCRIPTURES (should be read first)

Peace offerings are brought to express one’s love for God, as recognition of His goodness toward us. The very name, Shelamim (peace offering) means peace (shalom).

These are voluntary offerings, in contrast to required sin offerings of the next chapter.

(V.1) The first words, zevach shelamim, mean feast peace-offering. This is the only offering with which the word zevach / feast appears. It was a feast, because the owner would invite his family, friends, and acquaintances to eat it with him, whereupon he would praise God for His graciousness before them.

(V.2) The owner leans on the animal, not to confess sin, but to praise God.

(V.5) The first offering of the day was a lamb that was offered each morning (the continual elevation offering). The peace offering, a lamb or a goat, has its fat, kidneys, diaphragm, and liver placed on the altar beside the daily elevation offering, to be burned with the same fire. “Aaron's sons shall offer it up in smoke on the altar beside the (daily) elevation offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire; it is an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to Yahweh.”

The various Festival offerings are appropriate to the symbolism of each one’s Festival. The offering for Hag Shavuot / Pentecost – the betrothal feast – is a peace offering, to indicate love for the Groom.

From Ezekiel we learn that, at the future Millennial Temple, the Levites will again slaughter the elevation offerings for the people. God’s people will serve Him, they will bring their choice gifts, and they will be accepted as a soothing aroma. They will loathe their past evil deeds, and praise Yahweh Who dealt with them in grace for His own Name’s sake. That will be a glorious time!

David says (Psalm 70:15-17, 23), like at a feast peace-offering, “My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness, and of Your salvation all day long; for I do not know the sum of them. I will come with the mighty deeds of Lord Yahweh; I will make mention of Your righteousness, Yours alone. O God, You have taught me from my youth; and I still declare Your wondrous deeds.” “My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; and my soul, which You have redeemed.
