Tri State Swim Conference

“B” Championship Meet

July 30-31, 2016

Location: John Brown University, 2000 West University, Siloam Springs, AR 72761

Facility: Six lane, 25 yard pool

Times:The meet will begin at 9:00 a.m. Warm ups will begin at 7:00 a.m. with times assigned by the

Meet Director. The officials meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. The coaches meeting will be at 8:45 a.m. Lane timing and place judging will be assigned by the Meet Director in proportion to each team’s participation.

Meet type:Preliminary and Finals. The Finals will start 2 hours after the Preliminaries. The specific start time

will be determined by the head official based on the timeline and the meet progress.

Proof of Time:All entry times must be proven by the submitting team via an html or Word version export of

the Team Manager/Team Unify meet entry report with "include proof of times" option checked. To prove the relays, teams need to submit the relay designation (A, B, etc…) and the names of the relay swimmers competing.

Entry deadline:Entries in the form of a HY-Tek or Team Unify entry file and a report of the entries with proof of

time in the format specified above must be received by 11:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016. Entries and proof of time reports should be emailed to Stephanie Goddard at ENTRIES OR CHANGES will be accepted until 3:30 on Tuesday, July 26st to allow for validation of the entries.

Entry Limit:Each swimmer must have a qualifying “B” time for individual events and each member of a relay

must have at least one “B” time (or swim on the B relay team) at an invitational or at a dual meet or time trial which meets the judging requirements established by the Tri State Swim Conference and being timely recorded with the Vice President of the conference. Each swimmer can swim a maximum of three (3) individual events and one (1) relay per day.

Entry fees:$2.00 for each individual event

$5.00 for each relay

$7.00 entry surcharge fee for each swimmer

No deck entries are allowed.

Scratches should be submitted by 8:30 a.m. on both days.

Checks should be made payable to: The Siloam Springs Flyers Swim Team.

Awards:Conference medals will be awarded for 1st -6th place in the finals for individual events.

Conference ribbons will be awarded for 7th and 8th place for individual events.

Relay event conference medals will be awarded for 1st -3rd place.

Relay event conference ribbons will be awarded for 4th -8th place.

Team trophies will be awarded for 1st – 3rd place for Improvement

Team trophy will be awarded for 1st place overall points

Age group individual high point awards for both men and women will be awarded.

Best time and heat winner transfers will be given.

Scoring:Scoring will be standard scoring for a 6 lane meet as defined in USA Swimming rules: 7 points for

first place, 5 for second, 4 for third, 3 for fourth, 2 for fifth, 1 for sixth. The B division conference championship team trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded to teams with 10 or greater participants, or 20% of the team’s total registered swimmers as of July 1, based upon highest percent improvement for both preliminary and final individual event races (combined scores) as calculated by the HyTek Meet Manager software. A 1st place team trophy will be awarded to the team earning the highest points as calculated by the HyTek Meet Manager software.

Heat Sheet:Heat sheets will be available to buy at the meet.

Rules:Tri State Swim Conference rules and rules adopted by the conference from USA swimming will

be followed.

Officials:Officials will be appointed by the host team. Anyone willing to help officiate should contact the

conference head official, Bob Cummins, and attend the officials meeting before the start of the meet.

Concessions: There will be a concession stand available.
