Classes: Entries are limited to riders who have qualified in the appropriate class at a TREC GB qualifier eventbetween 3rd August 2015 to 13th August 2016

All riders must be a TREC GB member before close of entries.Riders who compete in the Levels 2, 3 & 4 National Championships are not eligible to ride in the Level 1 Championships. However, they can still ride in Class 5, 6 and 7 on a different horse.

Class 1Level 1 Open Individual–For competitors who do not fulfil the Newcomers criteria, or who choose to ride in the Open class.

Class 2Level 1 OpenPairs -For competitors who do not fulfil the Newcomers criteria, or who choose to ride in the Open class.

Class 3Level 1 Newcomer Individual – For competitors who have not completed a full three phase TREC competition prior to 31 December 2014.

Class 4Level 1 Newcomer Pairs- For competitors who have not completed a full three phase TREC competition prior to 31 December 2014.

Class 5Young Horse Individual - Horses must be born in the years 2010, 2011 or 2012, and must have completed at least one full, threephase TREC competition. Please bring your passport with you, these must be available for examination.

Class 6Veteran Horse –Horses must be born in, or before the year 2000, and must have completed at least one full, three phase competition within the last 2 years. Please bring your passport with you; these must be available for examination.

Class 7Level 1 Pairs.Any mixture of class 5 and 6 that wants to ride as a pair.

POR route length 10-15km with a small amount of road work, PTV Obstacle height up to 66cms.

Riders who are under the age of 14 must ride in one of the pairs classes, with a pair who is over 18 on the day of the competition

  • Entry fees include corralling and camping fees plus drinks, fruit, and cereal bars for the Saturday (POR) Tickets for the meal and social event on the Saturday night are additional.

Entry closing dates and refunds/withdrawalsEntries close on 12TH August. Withdrawals up to this date will receive a full refund.Any refunds for withdrawals after the closing date will be entirely at the discretion of the organiser. Riders who qualify at Knighton House may email entries up till the 16thAugust 2016.

Start times and competitor information These will be available on TREC GB website on Wednesday 24thAugust 2016. If you do not have access to the internet please enclose a first class SAE with your entry. Camping and corralling Overnight parking and corralling is available on Saturday / Sunday nights at the venue. Cost is included in your entry fee. Please note that you must provide your own electric fencing and charger.If you wish to stay on the Friday or Monday night the cost is £5 payable to the venue direct per night and needs booking in advance, contact admin.

Stabling £ 15 per night or £25 for 2 nights straw included in the price, shavings extra. Pleasecontact the venue direct to pay and book stables (25 available)telephone 07967 687692.

Hay isNOTavailable on site, however small bales of haylagecan be purchased direct from Lincomb @ £5 per bale.

Toilets and showersThere are 3 permanent showers and toilets on site,plus portable toilets at the camping field.

Water provisionWater for horses/ humans will be available on site.

Catering–

There is a caterer on site on Monday.

Sunday Night Social from 7.30.

There will be a BBQ on site £10 per head, with a vegetarian option, and pudding. If you have any further dietary needs please let admin know on your entry form.

FarrierA farrier will be on call.

VetThe local veterinary practice will be on call in case of emergency. Their number will be in your competitor pack.

Bespoke Clothing Commemorative polo shirts (Maroon and Light Blue) and or sweatshirts may be purchased provided they are ordered in advance. These will have the TREC GB logo embroidered on the front and the names of all the competitors’ horses on the back.Prices: Polo shirts £20, Sweatshirt £25.Order by PayPal via TREC GB website only.Orders must be placed by 12th August. Dogs - are welcome but must be under control or on a lead during the event. Please pick up and dispose of dog waste.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The event manager/organiser will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the officials and stewards on the day.

Trained First Aiders will be present at the event and should be summoned through an official in the event of an accident. The event manager/organiser may provide contact telephone numbers for emergency veterinary and farriery services.

Competitors are asked to safeguard valuable tack and possessions. Young children must be supervised at all times. Neither the event manager/organiser nor the land/course owners can accept responsibility for loss or injury to persons or animals howsoever caused.
