How to get to the hotel from the airport

Helsinki-Vantaa airport is located about 20 km from the city centre of Helsinki. The journey from the Airport to Helsinki City Centre (and other way around) takes about half an hour.

A taxi from the airport to the city center costs about 30-35 €.

If you prefer public transport there is a Finnair bus connection to city centre from the airport

Metropolia University of Applied Sciences has units in several locations in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa.

The International Week lectures/seminars/workshops will be held in three different locations in Helsinki.

2. Sofianlehdonkatu 5 campus/Helsinki: Elderly Care, Occupational Therapy, Social Services

3. Mannerheimintie 172 campus/Helsinki: Dental Technology, Optometry

Hotel

Please take care of your own hotel reservation!

There are no hotels near the campuses so you may take a bus (or tram) from your hotel. The closest hotel

can be reached by bus (or tram) in 20-30 minutes without having to change bus/tram lines. If you prefer to

stay right in the city centre, here are some hotels that our visitors use:

Day ticket – the easiest way to travel in Helsinki

A day ticket loaded on a single-charge card is the best option if you need to make several journeys during one day or several successive days. Day tickets are valid on all public transport. With your day ticket you can travel as much as you like for 1-7 days. The ticket is valid from the time it is first used, including during the night fare hours.
