Those passionate about gardening will admire innovative plant designs, diverse plant collections and beautiful castles and glasshouses on their trip with Trafalgar. Whether a gardening lover or just an admirer of floral landscapes, travellers can booka number of trips that will find them exploring the colourful tulip fields of Holland and the elegant gardens of England or the stunning French garden which was the inspiration for Claude Monet’s paintings.

English Country Gardens
Travellers dive into horticulture heaven as they discover the flowers and feasts of South-east England in the 10-day English Country Gardens itinerary. Starting in London, guests will see all the famous sights including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Guests may “get lost,” in the most famous Maze at Privy Garden or let their imaginations soar at Wisley Gardens where they’ll take in the richly planted borders, luscious rose gardens and state-of-the-art glasshouse. Travellers will love exploring the Victorian glasshouses and indoor galleries at the world famous Kew Gardens and they’ll surely enjoy a ride on England’s most famous steam trains – the Bluebell Railway. On to Sissinghurst Gardens, one of the best-loved in the United Kingdom that draws visitors from all over the world, where travellers can explore a series of “rooms” each designed with a different character of colour and/or theme.
Best of Holland
Beautiful art, timeless architecture, peaceful canals, famous museums, the cycling capital of the world and fields of colourful tulips are what guests will see during the 8-day Best of Holland itinerary. In Amsterdam, travellers will start their day with visits to Mint Tower, Dam Square and Museum Square and with a Local Expert, they’ll admire Rembrandt’s masterpiece ‘The Night Watch’ at the prestigious Rijksmuseum. On the journey to Aalsmeer, guests will visit the beautiful tulip fields of Keukenhof and see the dazzling 70-acre site that is home to several million flowering bulbs. A Spido boat cruise through Rotterdam port will surely be a memorable one as guests spend the evening on the SS Rotterdam and enjoy free time to explore the city. Seeing Van Gogh’s most famous works and a Be My Guest dining experience with a local farming family in Groningen are unforgettable ways to conclude the Best of Holland experience.
Best of France
The perfect two-week getaway, Trafalgar’s Best of France itinerary shows travellers just that – themost incredible sights and experiences spanning the country’s most vibrant cities and towns.
Starting and ending in Paris, the trip also makes overnight stops in Lyon, Nice, Carcassonne,
Biarritz, Bordeaux, Tours and Omaha Beach. Travelling through wine country, guests will stop off inBeaune to sample some delicious regional wines at a local cellar before heading to Lyon. As the journey continues north, guests will visit the remarkable Chateau Chenonceau that features stunning landscaped gardens and priceless collections of furniture, tapestries and art. Heading south-east towards the River Seine, guests will stop at Giverny and visit the house where Claude Monet spent most of his life.
