Six-night Itinerary
Day 1:
4:00-6:00 pm: CHECK IN
6:30pm: Dine at our Artisan Bistro
Evening at Tonglen: Sit around the campfire, roast marshmallows for s’mores, and enjoy the lawn games.

Day 2:
When you wake: Breakfast in our Artisan Café
Explore the Denali Park Visitor Center and the Murie Science and Learning Center. Take part in a Ranger-lead program.
Take a scenic drive out to the Savage River for a picnic lunch.
Take a hike on the Savage River Loop Trail from the picnic area. This 1.5 hour loop trail is 2 miles long.
Still have some energy? Take another short hike on the Mountain Vista Trail: The trail head is located at Mountain Vista Rest Area, at Mile 12.4 of the Denali Park Road., a 30-minute loop trail, 0.6 miles long, gravel surface
5:30pm: Dine at Prospector’s Pizza (or order a pizza-to-go and eat at Tonglen)
Evening at Tonglen: Evening performance/program or relax by the campfire

Day 3:
7:00am: Breakfast in our Artisan Café
9:00am: Park Shuttle Busto Eielson Visitor Center: Riding the shuttle bus system, you can enjoy Denali’s vast landscapes and unparalleled beauty while actively looking for wildlife and taking in the view of Mt. McKinley. You will have the freedom to step off the bus to hike, take photos, or simply spend time relaxing in the heart of Denali before re-boarding a later shuttle bus. This 8-hour RT scenic drive offers wildlife viewing and time to explore the Eielson Visitor Center. Add a hike along the Alpine Trail to experience the high tundra ecosystem.
7:00pm: Dine at our Artisan Bistro or recommended area restaurant
Day 4:
When you wake: Breakfast in our Artisan Café
1:00pm-5:30pm: Fly, spin and jig fish at the exclusive private Chavey Lakes for trophy class Arctic Grayling and Rainbow Trout, or in the mountain streams for some fun grayling action! All anglers have a great time from the highly experienced to the beginning child. The guides are very adept in all aspects of angling, and the best at Denali Park flyfishing instruction. The guide will pick you up right at Tonglen Lake Lodge, provide all equipment and expertise to enjoy a great afternoon of fishing. All fishing with Fish Denali is strictly catch and release, single barb-less hook whether you fly fish, spin or jig fish. Great for Seniors and Children! Groups are kept down to 6 anglers max, and 3 people max per guide, except for single larger groups
6:00pm: Dine at our Artisan Bistro or recommended area restaurant
Evening at Tonglen: Evening performance/program, or Yoga Class as scheduled or relax by the campfire to end your day.

Day 5:
When you wake: Breakfast at our Artisan Café
Spend a relaxing day at Tonglen Lake! Many families have departed wishing that they had planned for a day of “down time” to spend enjoying Tonglen Lake. The grounds have plenty to offer the whole family for a day of fun and relaxation.

Noon: SCENIC WLDERNESS RAFT TRIP: Although this trip will begin at McKinley Village in the midst of local lodges, your river raft will drift slowly away and leave only a quiet encounter with Denali’s wilderness. Imagine yourself floating in solitude along the boundaries of Denali National Park, Alaska on this 2 Hour oar raft trip! Enjoy the Alaskan splendor as we view the Yanert Fork River merging with the waters of the Nenana River below the Musher's Monument, a natural rock formation distinctly resembling a musher driving a sled and team of dogs. While passing by Mount Fellows and Pyramid Mountain, watch for a variety of wildlife and enjoy class II and mild class III whitewater rapids. Families with small children and those wanting a bit less splash will discover the joys of rafting. *Plan to join us for 3 to 3 1/2 hours (Minimum age 5 years)

Day 7:
When you wake: Breakfast in our Artisan Café
11:00am: CHECK OUT
Noon: On your drive south to Talkeetna or Anchorage, stop in and experience Dog Gone It Tours in Cantwell. Your adventure will bring you to one of the oldest remaining homesteads in Denali. Visit a competitive racing sled dog operation, hold puppies, witness sled dogs in action and learn what it is like to live an Alaskan lifestyle with some of the
