TRANSPORTATION SAFETY RULES

Welcome to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tustin Transportation Program. Our goal is to make sure that your child has a safe and pleasant ride after school or on field trips. It is important that all the passengers on the bus follow these safety rules. Please review these rules with your child. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tustin has the right to suspend and/or revoke your child’s transportation privileges for misconduct (no refunds shall be granted for lost days of service).

BUSING RULES

1.  Youth must be seated with a seatbelt on at all times, no exceptions. Failure to do so will result in a suspension from the bus.

2.  Eating or drinking is not allowed in the van at any time.

3.  Youth need to be respectful of the Driver and other members.

4.  Use of cell phones or other electronics is not allowed on the bus.

5.  If youth breaks or damages anything in the van due to negligence or misbehavior, parents will be responsible for payment of all damages.

6.  Fighting, vandalism, horseplay, foul or inappropriate language, name calling, or mistreatment of other members is not allowed. Members must notify the Driver of conflicts so they can receive assistance in handling their problem.

7.  Hands and feet must be kept to yourself (personal space must be respected) and inside the van at all times. Any objects thrown out of the window by a child will result in suspension, and if the driver is ticketed, the fees will be assessed to the parents. This offence violates California State Law (“no littering”).

8.  Bus Conduct Reports will be issued to youth for misconduct. If your child should receive a notice, which requires your signature of acknowledgement, please discuss the issue with your child.

9.  If you use the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tustin’s School Transportation Pick-Up Services and your child is not at the appointed location upon the van’s arrival, the Club has no responsibility in transporting your child.

10. Each month, members who stand out for their positive behavior may be nominated for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tustin Youth of the Month Awards.
