Sharing understandings about children’s learning

This workshop will provide Prep teachers and kindergarten teachers with opportunities to explore the power of networking to share information for children’s successful transition to school.

Who should attend

Prep teachers, including from Early Childhood Development Programs, Principals, Deputy Principals, Heads of Curriculum, Heads of Special Education Services, Kindergarten teachers and Directors.

Outline

This workshop will focus on continuity of curriculum and learning as children transition into Prep, including:

·  principles and practices for positive transition

·  curriculum links between Prep and prior to school learning

·  strategies to share data and information about children’s learning, including community data and transition statements.

This workshop has relevance to elements of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: three, four and six.

This workshop is provided at no cost to participants.
