Progress Report: Pre-Transfer Stage
  1. Transfer submissions should normally be submitted within 10 months for full-time students or 22 months for part-time students. Details of the transfer submission requirements are available in the Research Degrees Handbook.
  2. The student and supervisor should complete their sections independently, but must share their content with each other. The main supervisor is normally expected to complete the supervisor section of the report on behalf of the supervisory team.
  3. The report will be considered by the Transfer Assessment Panel and should be submitted to the panel along with the other transfer documentation (see section C below).
  4. The Chair of the Transfer Assessment Panel should send this form to the School Research Lead (SRL) after the transfer meeting, along with the following documents:
  5. Latest version of the Training & Development Needs Analysis and Training Plan – fully signed.
  6. Joint Report of the Transfer Assessment Panel – fully signed.
  7. Supervision log covering the previous 12 month period – fully signed.
  8. The SRLwill submit the authorised forms to Registry for consideration by Research Degrees Sub Committee (RDSC). NB the supervision log will not be received by RDSC.
  9. Registry will provide the student and supervisor with authorised copies of this form, along with the Joint Report of the Transfer Assessment Panel, prior to RDSC consideration. If RDSC requires the report to be amended before its approval, Registry will provide a copy of the final approved version to all parties.
