Note to Student: Students under suspension from the University of Dayton may not transfer credits back to the University of Dayton that were taken abroad during the semester that the student was suspended. Upon completion of this course work with a grade of C- or above, please have the Registrar of the visiting school send an official transcript to the Undergraduate Advising Office (address on 2nd page). Until official transcripts are received, no credit hours for courses may be conferred. Classes at other institutions must be taken for a letter grade in order to transfer into UD. The student is responsible for knowing and accurately reporting how many credit hours the transient course is worth. The number of hours transferred is determined by the transient school. The course may transfer as fewer or more hours than the UD equivalent course.

1.Contact the school you are planning to attend to take transfer course(s).

a)Obtain their semester or term schedule to make sure the course(s) are offered.

b)Obtain and attach a course description (for each non-business course) and asyllabus forPHL 313, REL 103, REL 368, and all core business courses. This is to include the name of the school, whether they are on a quarter or semester hour calendar, the description and content of the course, details of the textbook being used, and thenumber of credits assigned for each class.

* All business coursesare required to be taken at a school that is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. For a list of these schools:

2.Turn in the completed form to a staff member in MH 211. If no one is at the front desk in MH 211, and during the Summer, all requests will be processed in Miriam Hall Room 108.DO NOT LEAVE PAPERWORK ON UNATTENDED DESK IN MH 211.

3.Online classes require proof of proctoring when form is submitted. Verification of online proctoring:

a)Detailed syllabus indicating that exams are proctored

b)Email to the student from the instructor with instructor contact information or email from the school indicating proctoring will be provided

c)Exception to proctoring requirement is if course is writing based (Bus. Comm. or Eng. Comp.)

d)Sinclair requires students to register for class first and will process their proctoring request afterwards

  1. Once the course(s) have been evaluated,you will receive an email. This may take 2-4 weeks, depending on the time of year. April is the busiest month, so the earlier you submit the form, the faster the turn-around time will be. IF APPROVED, you may register for the course(s) at the transient school.
  1. Upon completion of this course work, please have the Registrar at the visiting school send an official transcript to the Undergraduate Advising Office (address below). The transcript must be sent from the university or college listed on the 1st page of this form. Until official transcripts are received,with a grade of C- or better, no credit hours for courses may be conferred. Grades do not transfer and thus will not be included in your UD GPA. A “K” will be inserted in place of a grade on your transcript.

**If you are taking courses at an institution that is on the quarter system, please note the following conversion from quarter to semester hours:

6 quarter hours = 4.00 semester hours 3 quarter hours = 2.00 semester hours

5 quarter hours = 3.33 semester hours2 quarter hours = 1.33 semester hours

4 quarter hours = 2.67 semester hours1 quarter hours = .67 semester hours
