Explorer Belt 2019
We are looking for three Assistant Expedition Leaders to assist in the leading of the next Explorer Belt for the Network and Explorer sections to somewhere in Southern Europe in the summer of 2019 – where exactly will be up to the leadership team and young people participating on the trip! As Assistant Expedition Leaders you and will assist in overseeing the training of the participants, before remotely supervising their 10 day Expedition where they will undertake a series of challenges which will involve the participants engaging with the culture of the country. European Jamboree 2019
We are looking for three Assistant Expedition Leaders to help take a group of Explorers away to a Jamboree in Europe in the summer of 2019. The team will be responsible for providing a full Jamboree experience to the participants. The right individuals for this trip will be organised, have great communication skills and must be prepared to leave this experience with new Scouting friends from all over the world!
Uganda Community Project 2019
In the summer of 2019 we envision a team of West Lancashire Scouts travelling to Uganda to take Explorers and Younger Network members to undertake a challenging community projects which will change the lives of hundreds of members of their community. The project will be decided by the full leadership team and most importantly in partnership with the local community. Possible projects could include: building a well to provide clean water, renovating a school or building a doctor’s surgery. Previous trips have also given the participants a chance to go on safari after completion of the project and or a trip to Nyeri (the resting place of Robert Baden Powell) in Kenya.
