Training for new and existing Co-ordinating Supervisors

for the Qualification in Health Psychology (Stage 2)

Do you wish to become a Co-ordinating Supervisor for the QHP (Stage 2)?

The Health Psychology Qualifications Board revised the training for new Co-ordinating Supervisors in 2014 to ensure that they have appropriate knowledge to support candidates through the QHP (Stage 2) as well as meeting the learning outcomes for entry onto the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS).

The trainingconsists of two distance learning modules, one focusing on core supervisory skills and the other on supervising for the QHP (Stage 2), followed by a face-to-face workshop. The distance learning modules will need to be completed ahead of the workshop which will take place on Friday 29 September 2017 at Stirling Court Hotel, University of Stirling, Stirling FK9 4LA from 10.00am-4:00pm.

There will be lunch available for all those attending, during which time we hope to have some time for networking with fellow supervisors.To reserve a place, please send a completed booking form to Risha Pattani, Qualifications Administrator– no later than Friday 1 September 2017. If there is anything that you would like to discuss with colleagues or if you have any specific questions you would like to ask members of the Board on the day, please include this information on your booking form.

If you are an existing Co-ordinating Supervisor

If you are currently in the role of Co-ordinating Supervisor for a candidate and would like to refresh your knowledge, you would be very welcome to attend the workshop on Friday 29 September 2017 at Stirling Court Hotel, University of Stirling, Stirling FK9 4LA from 10.00am - 4:00pm.

Those who are supervising a candidate under the February 2012 or March 2015 Candidate Handbooks are required to attend refresher training every two years and attendance at this workshop would fulfil this requirement.

The workshop will be presented by Dr.James Byron-Daniel, Chief Supervisor/Registrar. There will be lunch available for all those attending during which time we hope to have some time for networking with fellow supervisors. Attendance is free of charge. Attendee expenses for travelling to this event will not be paid by the Society.
