(Please read, sign below and return bottom portion with beginning of the year forms)

Drivers must:

  • Always give pedestrians the right-of-way, and wait until they step onto the sidewalk.
  • Obey all Crossing Guard directions (California Vehicle Code 2815CVC).

Drivers maywait, drop off, and pick up students from a car:

  • Along curbs that are painted white (this means they are loading and unloading zones). (California Vehicle Code 22502a states that your wheels must be “parallel with, and within 18 inches of the right-hand curb”).
  • Along curbs not painted red, and which have nosigns stating not to park, etc.

Drivers maypark and leave their car if:

  • The curb is not painted, and it doesn’t have a sign saying “No Parking”, “No Unattended Vehicles”, etc.

DOUBLE PARKING: Drivers must not block trafficwhile waiting for, dropping off, or picking up passengers. (California Vehicle Code 22502a states that your wheels must be “parallel with, and within 18 inches of the right-hand curb”).

RED CURBS: Drivers may not be here – ever.

WHITE CURBS: These are for loading and unloading passengers only. You maynot leave your vehicle.

SIGNS: “No Parking” means drivers cannotstop or wait here. Drivers are responsible for reading the signs posted along a curb.

FIRE HYDRANTS: Drivers may wait inside their car in front of one, but cannot park within 15 feet of one.
